The premise is good! I look forward to see Sparksworn in action.
So, the once pure and soft ponies embraced Chaos out of despair and grief. The dragons, griffons and others pretty much reap what they sow.
I like that there is no simple good side and bad side. I wonder how this will go. Will the ponies end up rejecting Chaos, and will the past sins be forgiven, for peace to return one day?

You know, I want to be annoyed with you for always starting new stories instead of updating your already existing ones, I really do.
But then I end up reading said new stories and can't help but like them.

I actually got annoyed with myself about that too, so I made a rule for myself recently that I'd post five updates a time before publishing anything new. Of course, thats counting my non-mlp stuff on fanfiction as well.

Good idea. Maybe you can put the rest on hiatus while you focus on finishing 4-5 fics (at most) at once. The problem with having tens of unfinished stories at once is the time it takes to give one update to all of them, only leading to frustration.
Anyway, take the time you need.
I'm mainly wondering how you are going to portray ponies like Fluttershy
and Rarity 
. I can't really see them as part the Beast-ponies without being totally different characters or personality. I also can't think of Fluttershy being anybody but Bretonnia 's Fey Enchantress after seeing the Totalwar model and a quick look to the Fey's wiki.
If story is starting in what is lore equivalent to the Middleland or whatever proper name it is, I do have good idea you can use to make it possible. That if some Ponies in ancient times escaped over the mountains and found a sort of sanctuary ,perhaps filled with kind breezes (It would be somewhat hilarious to see the oh so delicate breezy in a War-hammer setting), That would allow the normal ponies can make themselves their own as the chivalrous Bretonnia, the some-what secretive wood elves, or hybrid of both. I would also think they wouldn't be allied with ditties of order since that mean they would be prey, though that doesn't imply they implicitly like/trust Chaos/Discord.
A non-beast pony civilization can have an interesting dynamic and implications. (much like High Elves/ Dark Elves). Will the Beasts become like the dangers they sold themselves to overcome, did Discord truly change the order/ way of life or just rearrange it, and how will the different Ponies react/ view each other when they meet and see what they could have been?
One more thing. I don't care how, why, or with whom, Pinkie Pie
is basically Wurzzag Da Great Pink Profit/ Dancer or at least has access to a magic lore of Da Big Party/ Waaagh!

I think this fic's version of Fluttershy could be a sort of demon tamer, and Rarity's, a Slaanesh-style sorceress (and a certain Decadance as her herdlord?).
I wonder which names Akumakami will give them.

It would be a good bet that Fluttershy could be a tamer of some ability. Though Warhammer demons are no Joke anywhere with the big demon lords being able slaughter regular armies.(the idea of a full on hulking demon Angle "the bunny" seems OP) I'm not quite sure Beastmen even dose demons like the main Chaos Factions do. I personally don't see Fluttershy's character being stern or a constant authoritative enough to keep an entire unit of some Warhammer's nastiest under control. Pretty much any pony else might be a better pick for top dog/ alpha pack mentality with being beast-ponies but I can be surprised with good characterization.
I don't know what talking about with Rarity. do mean princess Cadence as a herd-lord? Any reason beside a name drop?

Nor do I see the bookworm, adorkable, brainy Twilight character being a chaos warrior-mage. But we have to remember the ponies in this fanfic are far from their show's counterparts. The ponies here have embraced Chaos, violence, and war.
As for Cadance, maybe she is Celestia's equal? I also wonder what happened to Luna...
While Warhammer's Beastmen don't have the same things than Chaos Warriors, this fic's ponies might still have more, if the author wants, that is. Maybe some ponies have chosen an equivalent of the Chaos' specialisations (bloody, festering, depravity and change?). I sure would see Sparksworn casting some terrific spells, Tzeench sorcerer style!
Everything I have posted is merely a suggestion though.

Warhammer is a very Grimdark series, both Fantasy and 40K. So anything based upon that adequately is going to be similarly grimdark, unless the setting is played for laughs like in "If the Emperor had Text-To-Speech"
In summary, this has very violent fantasy war depictions and the ponies, to top it all off, have become carnivores under the influence of chaos.

So, going with the obsolete Merriam-Websters definition of heartstring, I like.
So, not sure if you have the names for all the characters yet, but I thought up a couple names that might work for Trixie and Sunset. Trixe Cruelmoon and Sunset Skinner. Three guesses on what Sunset's favorite form of torture would be.
