This intro to this.... i must say that... I LOVE IT!!, by the empress it's good.

Great intro; epic and hilarious at the same time. You have the official Baal-pattern Seal of Approval.

well then aint you a cheery bucket of fucking sunshine celestia

MIllennia around the dead would do that :pinkiecrazy:

YES IT'S HERE CJSKAKEJDKDJ GOOD

“But on the bright side, she gave me some of the information you need!”

It's her phone number :eyes:

I sort of suspect the only thing more dangerous than a annoyed Spacemare is an annoyed equustode which makes me suspect if there are any remaining cultists nearby they are going to be in for a bad time.

The amount of pun that comes off from crossovers like these are both funny... and UNBELIEVABLE HERESY!!!!!! So much so that it's like looking at a tainted artifact and having it cause pain just from looking at how unholy they are.

But it's mostly the puns that do that.

Have a like. I normally have trouble enjoying Warhammer crossovers of any kind, but you good sir, or mam I am unsure of which you happen to be(and I don’t really care either way), have managed it. The whole story feels like it is in the same vein as If the Emporer Had a Text to Speach Device, which happens to be another Warhammer story I like.

Thank you ^^
(Also it's not the first time I hear about the If the Emperor Had a Text to Speach Device... maybe I should check it out...)

this story and concept is interesting i'm here wondering why it lacks the atenttion it should deserve

Thank you for your kind words ^^
I think it's mostly my fault for not correctly advertising it and for not being consistent these days. I hope the next few months will change that.

Here’s another proverb for you:

bortaS bIr jablu'DI', reH QaQqu' nay'
Revenge is a dish best served cold.

(Bonus points for correctly guessing the top language)

My guess would be Klingon, but that's just a guess ^^'

Rereading this and I have to say, this is the first place this story really shines (something it will do a whole lot more in the coming chapters). Before this, we have MLP with a Warhammer skin, here we see how that affects things, the way it affects Celestia. And, of course, your immensely strong prose only makes it all the better. Love this chapter so much, such a great story.

In the darkness all men are equal, save those that embrace it.

what are men, man?

Thank you for pointing that out, and I hope you're enjoying the story!

Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad you're enjoying it so far!
I'll do my best to keep up the good work ^^

Thanks a lot! I'm glad you're enjoying the story so far ^^

Feared this was dead.

Glad to see I was wrong.

T'was hard to come back, but I did it! I'll do my best so the next chapter doesn't take years to come out...

Question how big is twilight because the custodians and 40K are huge

11482928
She's "small" for a Custodian, which makes her as large as a "regular" spacemare, who are twice as big as regular ponies. To give a good frame of reference, think a bit smaller in height than Celestia compared to regular ponies, but bulkier.

Interesting twist to make Fluttershy a dreadnought.

11485598
In the show she's the one of the mane 6 with the most obvious and crippling disabilities (especially anxiety), not to mention the fact that she doesn't likebto fly that much despite being a pegasus. So I figured having her in a dreadnought would allow me to play with both of those aspects while keeping her as a spacemare.

I never wanted this. I never wanted to unleash my legions.
Together we banished the ignorance of Old Night.

But you betrayed me, you betrayed us all.
You stole power from the gods and lied to your daughters.

Ponykind only has one chance to prosper. If you will not seize it, THEN I WILL!

So let it be war!

From the skies of Canterlot to the galactic rim: Let the seas boil! Let the stars fall! Though it takes the last drop of my blood, I will see the galaxy freed once more. And if I cannot save it from your tyranny mother, THEN LET THE GALAXY BURN!

-The Warmistress

Now I know what quote to add to the next chapter ^^

I simply took that entire speech from this trailer:

and ponified it a little.

I do have one question about the story going forward, will this be a grimdark, a grimbright or a nobledark setting?

11494737
I had never heard of grimbright and nobledark before... Interesting! I think my story is closer to nobledark, considering how MLP and 40k (when it comes to Space Marines at least) rely on strong protagonists saving the day despite the odds.

11494881
Grim would be a more punk, goth, nihilist or Marxist view, there are no heroes, everything is slowly decaying, God may or may not care and it is unclear if he is listening, faith has become either a crushing monolith meant to suppress the masses or is a fading and faltering system. Common themes in grim stories are: The nights(sometimes metaphorical, sometimes literal) are getting darker, hope is a guttering candle in the rain and when it goes out we are all left in the dark and adrift, cities are always dirty places full of corruption, religious leaders/institutions have no real faith in what they believe and do what they do to gain more wealth and/or political power, the monsters are both scratching at the wall and are among us.

Noble would be more Arthurian, optimistic, Christian or the great man view, when all seems bleak heroes of virtue come forth, God loves us and cares and he hears our pleas, faith is the bulwark by which the darkness is held back within our souls. Common themes in noble stories: The night(sometimes metaphorical, sometimes literal) is always darkest before the dawn, though there may be those that abuse faith for their own ends True Faith always triumphs, great heroes or the common man rise up and fight against the oppressors/monsters, hope shines like a bonfire on a hill at midnight.

Dark and light can serve as the metaphorical mood lighting for a grim or noble story. In a grimbright setting, hope shines like a beacon in the night, but it attracts the monsters, the oppressors and the evil, basically Battlestar Galactica(the original '70's show). In a nobledark setting, the heroes cast long and deep shadows, though they win the battle, they do so at great cost to themselves, their humanity and everyone else around them, basically Babylon 5 or Stargate SG-1. In a noblebright setting, we have made it through our metaphorical dark night and made it to the metaphorical glorious new dawn, behind us is our barbarism and superstitions, ahead of us is our enlightenment and growth, basically Star Trek or Star Wars. I don't need to do a breakdown of grimdark as there are untold hours of Warhammer 40,000 novels, short stories and other official media. None of these should be taken as absolutes, but more as broad generalizations and basic rules of thumb(DS-9 and The Clone Wars series did excellent jobs of mixing a little grim and dark with their usual noble and bright).

11494923
Thanks for the detailed explanation ^^
As I said, I think The Mare in the Warp is more on the nobledark side, but as you said, it's not clear-cut. If I finish the whole saga, you will likely see shifts in the tone and genre. I hope I reach that point someday...

An interesting idea you got there. I don’t think i saw this before.

11575152
I'm trying my best! I hope you liked it and what comes next ^^

11575154
I sure i will, as I lack time to read now. Been more of a imperial guard Fan/what got me into wh40k.

Also, I am trying my own wh40k Story idea, is sort of the opposite of yours.

11575156
Interesting! I'll try to give it a read (reading is hard these days...). In any case, good luck and success!

11575160
Thanks, gonna need it, as i have to improvise a lot due to the lack of lore wh40k has for many things. The first chapter is up and i get the next onces ready, just Final checks.

Heh, its actually a funny background how the Story came to be
