Now just please stop being one of those people that try to apply real life logic onto fictional creatures that exist in whar is clearly a fantasy setting.

7871944 i get what you are saying. but the problem with applying a human template to fundamentally different species. is that the story or universe lacks variety.
bipedal reptile mas have new rules on how its body works. same as with pony, griffin, etc.

We are talking about a fantasy world that has a dozen sapient species, and loads of monsters. I believe that is variety enough. If the author really cared that much for wanting to be "different" he would have kept everyone in their canon forms.
But he chose to use anthropomorphic forms. You know, the form that applies some human characteristics to none human things. In this case breasts on a fantasy anthro dragon.
And no, they really don't have to have "nrew rules". That is just want you want. If you want such write your own story, or pay someone to write what you want.

There are some species of reptiles that give live birth. Admittedly, those species don't nurse, but those species also aren't highly evolved sapients. It's perfectly reasonable to assume that a highly evolved sapient reptile - even if it hatches from an egg - might evolve prominent mammaries on females for any number of reasons.
Heck, it might have evolved purely from aesthetic. Example:
The instinctual reason human males are drawn to large breasts is because back when primates mostly walked on all fours, the prominent sexual attribute was the ass. Breasts on a girl standing upright have the same basic shape that an ass on a female walking on all fours has, and at eye level.
In other words, once dragons started walking more upright than on all fours, the females that had prominent fat sacks on the chest drew more attention because the guys liked looking at them, resulting in them being the ones who bred...which meant having those sacks of fat became the norm.

Sounds so generic. I prefer those Authors that name her "Barb" or Barbra. Barbs are a-kin to Spikes, after all.
I encourage the Author to make this minor change to the story, as in my opinion, (Opinions are like ass-hats, everybody has one. ) It would make the story seem less generic.
