The work of a businesspony is to provide goods or services to other ponies in exchange for the abstracted representation of the worth of said goods or services (i.e. bits), typically to obtain said abstracted worth in greater proportion than what said goods or services would normally be worth in an economic vacuum. Typically, this entails finding a good or service in high enough demand that ponies will pay disproportionate amounts of wealth to obtain it.
Take, for example, Dextromethamphetamine.

Levomethamphetamine is sold at pharmacies as a generic alternative to propylhexedrine(Benzedrex) most likely because of the incredibly low abuse potential of the former compared to the latter under the secret code name of 'levmetamfetamine'.
Dextromethamphetamine, however, is very habit-forming and very reinforcing because unlike its steroisomer, it crosses the blood brain barrier magnificently.
You also see the same thing with dextro- and levo- methorphan. Dextromethorphan is a dissociative anesthetic mainly used in the treatment of dry coughs, and levomethorphan is actually an opioid which apparently has never been sold on the market.
