Interesting take on how the helmets worked and it sounds like something Sombra would actually do too.

You've done it again, Weaver.

Damnit, that was intense. Good job, as ever.

This series is going to hurt. I look forward to more of it.

I feel as though I know nothing, for I am not always certain to whom the designations refer.

6763608 Or the measurements and illusive stabilities or whatever.

A sniper, deprived of her words.

Trixie and Pinkie are the two most obvious. Others seem to be Rainbow, Fluttershy, and...AJ? And the last is Celestia given the Agape present here. But yeesh, this one is way grimmer and calls for more exploration since there's so much unsaid here.

Neither AJ nor Celestia is in the cocoons examined.

Perhaps I'm just a little dense, but I honestly can't tell if I'm supposed to know who the pony under Sombra's influence is or not. Still, this is fascinating, if a bit hard to understand.

Oh. OH! The last one makes sense now. So that's Zecora, which only leaves the unknown Earth Pony at the start as the one I am unsure of.

I think I understand this one even less than I understood the last one.

I don't get how the balance is measured, and I'm not sure who EL-E25 is. (Judging by the designation, she seems to be an Everfree-captured lavender earth pony. Berry Punch?) Aside from that, this was grimly fascinating.

This will be of tremendous help in understanding some of the measurements.

6767064 Balance is output/generation ratio.

Of all the chapters so far, this is the only one that ended on a completely down note.

I....

I need to lie down....

Well, at least she appreciates the children.

so with key species going extinct I wonder how bad the eco system going to go?

I understood this one.

Now I'm sad.

In wondering, was this series aimed as a poke/deconstruction at common fimfiction tropes with the darker bent of what would happen if things followed natural course over author views?

Too much of anything isn't good, even one's greatest fantasy. Of course, then the question becomes how to go about breaking the monotony, and that's a very tricky question here...

I have a feeling I know who this lone pony is... Or maybe I'm mistaken. But it kinda feels like Rainbow Dash.

That's one of the things, you know? The Tirek arc started and was over so quickly, I don't know if anyone ever really stopped to consider the full implications, what would have been had he actually won. I don't imagine he'd have hung around for long. He had what he wanted, after all, so on to new pastures and such.

But what about everyone else?

Donkey conspiracy?

Also, a minor editing nitpick:

their was a good dependency on tourist trade.

think it's supposed to be there

Ugh. I hate stories of a disenchanted Equestria. It's always a punch in the gut to read about these. This one was especially poignant and painful. Nicely done, you monster. :fluttershysad:

"spinneret"
...Eh?
"spinneret |ˈspɪnərɛt|
nounZoology
any of a number of different organs through which the silk, gossamer, or thread of spiders, silkworms, and certain other insects is produced.
• (in the production of man-made fibres) a cap or plate with a number of small holes through which a fibre-forming solution is forced."
Was that word meant to be something else?

Wow...great chapter!

Although I think batsong is quite beautiful if it's lowered into the range we can hear it. You can probably find some on YouTube.
