One year has passed since Twilight Sparkle was forced to part ways with the love of her life. She spends the anniversary in the human world crying beneath the statue that acts as the gateway between the two worlds. As she arrives home she considers closing the portal, but later discovers that by leaving it open, she saves a life. A life will be shared with the young mare and a broken heart mended as she tends to the one that arrives through the portal.
This story is based before season six and the Friendship Games movie.

Anyway, I'd much rather see how this fleshes out as you post it instead of trying to guess my way into your head. This has a lot of promise, I wish I could read the whole thing right now! 
Have you been more busy than you anticipated, or did you lose interest/faith in this story? Because for what it's worth, I'd love to see it continued when you get the chance. I can see this quickly becoming one of my favourite stories on this site, perhaps anywhere.

6751195 Truth is, it's neither. It's honestly a bunch of things piling up all at once. Between coming out, my new job, taking a positive stance in my local LGBTQ community and (not gonna lie) getting caught up on all my favorite anime, I've just really been crawling at a snail's pace to get anything done with my writing at all.
I also feel like I've done a really damn good job with these first two chapters and I wanna take my time making sure I make the rest of the story just as good if not better.
However, today I finally resolved to finally get back on and get back to work, so you should start to see multiple updates in rapid succession from here on out.
