I have a nagging suspicion that AJ will bust down his door and we will be having a shogun wedding with the bride wobbling up the alter. In any case I hope for a sequel.

Anyways, this is very well written, and I read it despite hating anthro. I basically forced myself to imagine AB as a human girl.
I read it without any intention of "clopping" (it's not something I'd do when reading prose), and it still held my interest as a literary work. That's my praise for this piece. I'm wondering if there will be any story elements in the next chapters, however slight.

I can't stop thinking about how pathological this AB is, unable to become emotionally close to anyone and having so little estimation of self-worth that she thinks she can only connect during sex. My impression is that she doesn't know anything about her sex buddies (half the colts in town?) aside from their names, the human protag included. Do they even hang out beyond sex? I don't think so. They feel like casual workplace acquaintances at best. This is not a healthy lifestyle for an eighteen year old.
Nicely executed smutfic, sure. But I actually care about the CMCs (Sweetie Belle best fillie), so it's hard for me to just objectify one of them and forget about her wellbeing. In the back of my mind, the fridge logic of how this AB is so broken behind her seemingly carefree jollity leaves me uncomfortable.

You have taken the facts of the story ("AB sleeps around with multiple males, one of whom is the main character") and twisted it to fit your narrative ("all promiscuous women are broken, emotionally stunted, and have low self-worth")
Shame on you.
There are plenty of normal, emotionally healthy women that go through a promiscuous phase. It is not an indication of emotional stunting or low self-worth, and it is not a sign that they are in any way, shape, or form "broken".
Additionally, there's no indication that her lifestyle is causing her physical, mental, or emotional harm, which is where I would draw the line between a healthy lifestyle and an unhealthy one. As long as it doesn't harm anybody, do what you want. So if you asked me, "is her lifestyle a healthy one?" I'd probably say, "sure, why not?"
Oh, and if sleeping with lots of males isn't appropriate behavior for an 18-year old (emphasis yours), at what age would it be appropriate? 16? 25? 34? Is there any age at which you think that would be appropriate behavior? If not, why did you bother emphasizing her age in the first place?

If taken out of context, and stated as a simple question "Do you think a woman who chooses to be consensually promiscuous is emotionally stunted?" Of course I would say no. Or, I'd say that's too little information I would need more.
Therefore, you framing my comments in an out-of-context manner in an attempt to pull the sexism card and paint me as a prude is a low blow. When did I ever say "all promiscuous women"?
Let's take this in context. AB lives in a small semi-rural town where everypony knows almost everypony. Ok, it's not that small a town, but you can bet everypony knows the Apples. She's 18 and still lives at the homestead, with her older sister, older brother, and grandmother. keep in mind the Mane 6 at the time of FiM are all 20-somethings living independently with jobs and an established adult social network.
In what world is it healthy for a barely coming-of-age young girl in AB's context to sleep with a new colt/human every week? That's the author's words, not my exaggeration. You think she's forming any true relationships at that blistering rate? You think her social life is well-rounded in this manner? This is probably her first steps into adult society beyond the farm, and this is what she's doing with her time? In Equestria that's healthy? Certainly not the show's Equestria.

Well, I've been invoked, so here I am.
I'm not going to say one of you is right or not, as they are both valid interpretations of her actions. I certainly had one interpretation in mind, as did the commissioner, but just because that's what I was intending when I wrote it doesn't mean that's the only way to read the story.
The sad part about a clopfic like this is that there is little or no time to do any real character development. Especially when my voice is hidden behind that of a (potentially unreliable) first person narrator. Perhaps if I ever wrote a sequel I could delve into these questions a little deeper, but for now you're welcome to interpret what I wrote in whatever way suits you. And feel free to discuss it in the comments, but I will shut it down if it ever devolves into personal attacks.
That said, thanks for reading, and for caring enough about my (-ish) characters to be worried about their well-being.

Until I was called out above, I didn't intend to pass judgement on the author for writing the story that I proceeded to interpret in my manner. I was merely discussing my reaction to the characters. I understood well that the protag's opinions and ethics isn't necessarily the author's, especially for a commission.
However, I did feel that you the author was actually skilled enough to give weight to both interpretations in your prose, in an unbiased manner, without you personally pitching a soapbox.
You portrayed this AB as a fundamentally happy and giving (no pun) pony. This supports the libertarian view that she's a consenting mature individual who's free to do what she wants, and her actions only bring about positive outcomes as long as prudes mind their own business and stop judging hers.
OTOH, you also didn't shy away from alluding to the potentially negative consequences of her actions, indicating that just because she's technically free to do whatever she wants doesn't mean it's always the right thing AJ should allow. For example, what is the Protag's first description of AB beyond how hot she is? "She's probably not girlfriend material." That's his exact words. Even though the protag seems to be a nice upstanding guy, and his interactions with AB seem 100% mutually positive, his first platonic assessment of AB is "If I'm smart I wouldn't get too close to her emotionally." Now imagine every nice upstanding colt and stallion in Ponyville thinking the exact same thing, which you bet they will. That's (part of) what AB is doing to herself.
So, Kudos to the author imparting such subtle depth to just a commissioned clopfic.

The story itself does not support these claims. The only "evidence" for these claims is the simple fact that she's slept with a lot of guys. If you believe that this itself is strong evidence for your claims, what can I assume other than that you think that all women who sleep around have these flaws?
If I'm wrong, please point to any other evidence that would support your claims, besides the fact that she is promiscuous.
EDIT:
I will accept that being obviously promiscuous in a rural town may not be the smartest of decisions, assuming that Ponyville's views on sex are similar to those of religious conservatives from our world. However, since we've only seen the world through Jacob's eyes, we don't know if that's true or not.
Additionally, even if that is true, there's a world of difference between "making poor decisions" (which all of us have done at some point) and the labels you have put on AB.

There's a rule for quality in fiction. Unless intentionally subverted (i.e. as a later plot twist, etc), the natural assumption is always that our unstated rules are their unstated rules. So no, the possible excuse of "Well maybe on their planet the rules are different" cannot apply unless the author actually applies it. Reading through this fic, and thinking through the show, I see no indications of that implicitly or explicitly when it comes to intimate relationships.
Response to your EDIT:
If let's say this fic stars AJ instead of AB, I'd say AJ is "making poor decisions" instead of "omg emotionally isolated/ low self-esteem/ broken." Because AJ is definitely an adult. Independent. Secure job. Established adult social network. Solid view of her own place in the world. That is, she has the capital to make her own decisions, and absorb the poor ones.
AB is a child. "Oh she's 18." Yeah, an 18 y/o American girl is a senior in HS, or a new Freshman in college. AB lives at home, is dependent, and chronologically this is her first steps into the adult world. So yeah technically she's an adult with self-determination, but she has none of the foundational buffer that AJ has earned. Making poor decisions at this juncture will affect her future decision tree, the nature of her adult social network, and color her important relationships. This perfect storm can easily make her "omg emotionally isolated/ low self-esteem/ broken" from a healthy but adventurous girl.
I read this, as a male i enjoyed this, but my body hurts now... girlfriend caught me reading this and punched me.
