5633130 As someone who's been part of the furry fandom for many years (and trolled like nobody's business!), and seen the commissions made there... I am not surprised someone wanted the story to play out this way.
Disappointed, but far from surprised.
I suppose I should write a story one day, just to piss of the villain fans, of all the villains being lined up and shot in the head by Kim Jung Un, who becomes the greatest hero in Equestria and leads the ponies to crush the evil Americans!

That right there is why Chrysalis would fail...for underestimating Luna.
Luna is far from powerless...and if she truly wanted to, could easily overpower Chrysalis. Hell she can still turn into Nightmare Moon and use her powers without all the evilness taking over. Luna is the Princess of the Night, which is when all the shadows are present. So it wouldnt surprise me if Luna is the one who has the Special Forces guards, or even Royal Assassins. So underestimating Luna is a very bad idea.
Im sure if she also got the rest of the Element Bearers, they could break Celestia and Twilights mind control and easily defeat Chrysalis. Hell all they really need to do is convince Discord to take out Chrysalis then BOOM itsdone.
There should be a sequel where she Underestimates Luna, and Luna just kicks her ass. But thats my opinion...what do all you others think?

6911919 Her Nightmare form isnt fake, she just doesn't like to use it in fear that it will take over, but without her jealousy, it wouldn't be able to take over. And think about it...the only reason Nightmare was defeated by Tia was because she used the Elements. If she hadn't used them, Nightmare would have beaten her, meaning that she is alot more powerful than Tia, not just slightly
