A soldier's death is always hard, especially for their loved ones. Now Celestia is facing one of the toughest moments in her life. Jackson wants her to move on and be happy, but how can she be happy after this. Then to make matters worse he suddenly appears before her, but he's dead... isn't he?

4688451 To be honest, I actually got the names for both stories from the original songs. She Wore A Yellow Ribbon is actually a famous march from the US Army, and The Girl I Left Behind Me is an old departure song also used by multiple different military groups.
And in that town, her daddy kept a shotgun.

So they worshiped Nightmare Moon and thought they could kill Celestia and the Elements to allow Nightmare to reign and stuff. Something like that. Or they just wanted to assassinate the Princess. Either way, it's really just a pick your own outcome kind of deal.
