Ron Jeremy Pony

What to say about me... I'm a novelist, I enjoy writing Fanfiction (seriously I like it. Although I mainly do Justice League or Highschool of the Dead), and thanks to Dr. Whooves I found FIM.

T

Continuing from Little Big Pony's Just Another Mare... Celestia discusses the blessing and curse of being with Marcus. She expresses how he has touched her, changed her, and now is in the twilight years of his life.

“He will not do it will he?” she asks.
I shake my head. Softly I nuzzle his neck and his eyes open. He looks up at me.
“Tia? What time is it?” he asks.
“It is still early. Marcus, I can have one more day right? You will give me that right?” I ask.
“You can have it Tia, you can have all of them I have left. They’re yours. They’ve always been yours,” he answers.

So she extends his life by keeping him alive on the last day of his life to try to make him change his mind or what?

Interesting question, and to be honest I hadn't considered that. In truth, that tiny bit of dialogue was a nod to JLA #90. Back when the DCU was the DCU and not the DCnU. Anyway... It could be considered that she is extending his life. I could actually see her doing that since she's upset about his pending passing. You don't live with someone, love them, desire them, and grow as a person with them and not feel some kind of heart ache when their health declines.

So, I could see her wanting to keep him alive. Her resolve of honoring his wishes slowly breaking down. Yeah, that would make a lot of sense to me. I would love to see little big pony, who wrote the mother story to this, take that challenge and write it. It wouldn't be a pure clop fic, though I'm sure it could and would need some elements from Clop Fics in it, but rather it could be a story about a mortal coming to terms with being made immortal. The fact that his beloved cares so deeply for him that being without him causes her great pain.

Yeah... That would be an awesome story... Okay, seriously I need to get in touch with little big pony and propose this idea!

Thanks!

4001092 Hmmm still this is a very good story. would love to see Just Another Mare turn into a long fic. Do I think it will happen no. Would it be great yes.

It's happening. I'm not going to give anything away, but it is happening. Be looking for it in the very near future. Like in less than a day or so. Also a big round of applause to Little Big Pony for looking at it, thinking that its in character, and going with it.

It really shows how hard it is to love a pony who ages slower.

Or doesn't age at all. I know the idea of an immortal and mortal being together is one that has been done to death. Even in Doctor Who with the Doctor and Rose (or my favorite version of the Doctor... Doctor Whooves and Ditzy) it's been shown and mentioned what will eventually happen. One thing that I have liked about the idea of immortality is the thought that they never lose a memory. It resides inside of them, forever there, always reminding them of what they missed. I like to think that they have one soul mate, and finding that soul mate is sweet torture. It is because that person (or pony) will slowly wither and die as they remain a constant.

It was something that brought me into the entire Batman and Wonder Woman camp a while back. The idea of writing a story about how after he was gone she was left to face the memories of the life they had together. Memories that would always be just as sharp, bright, and focused as the day they were made. It's something that has made me take the argument that she would move on and shake my head at it. Sure, she could move on, but would she? Would she silently compare everyone to that one love she had? Would every one that came into her life as a romantic prospect after that be judged by a ghost?

It's the same for Celestia. When Little Big Pony wrote Just Another Mare he mentioned that she had relationships before. It would be foolish to think that Celestia didn't have any kind of romantic relationship before. It's obvious that she had been involved with people, but I wanted to take her desire for Marcus that Little Big Pony expressed and make it something more. Make it fulfilling life, a grand love, and one that she got to experience her life as an equal. She was treated as a partner, and a wife before anything else. It was a moment as close to having a soul mate (Though I would argue that perhaps he was exactly what she needed, and that in many ways he completed her in some regard. Even in Little Big Pony's original story I would argue this thought), and she got several wonderful years out of it. She got to see so much beauty, pain, joy, hurt, love, and sorrow up close. She wasn't an casual observer, but instead she was there, present, in this life.

Being there, being forced to see this life, experience it, and live it, would taint another relationship after this one. It would cause her to hold her next romantic interest to extremely difficult standards. Then again, I could be wrong.

4220417 Mostly I think the royal sister just age slower then most ponies. Don't know if they did kept that from Faust's original vision.

Not sure, Although if she merely ages slowly then there is some solace that eventually she will succumb to time as well. Either way, thanks for the comment :pinkiehappy:

Short, romantic but sad story.

I must say: good work, you made me melancholic.
