3225838 well since (to me and maybe some others) really good stories like the ones that make us get super pumped for the next chapter and make us cry that the story ended, or atleast I can't find any anymore. So there's little one chapter stories somewhat like this and each disctription I read is either really super weird or reall funny that it's bad. I'm not saying this is a bad story I'm saying that it's a funny concept of Big Mac and a Big Mac. So in a nutshell it seems like some writers are running out of ideas for original stories so their writing small short stories. Just me saying something that I think is happening

Well, for me, it's not really that I'm running out of ideas. I have plenty of ideas. But I'm a little sick and tired of seeing the same types of stories over and over, so I just sit down and go 'Hm, what's an idea that I can think of that's original, maybe even crazy, and still make work and be entertaining?' The weirdest ideas /are/ the most original after all. I mean, I could have just written another Big MacxFluttershy fic, but that'd be no fun, nor would it be very entertaining to read/write because it's been done a million times already. That's also why I shipped Rainbow Dash with a shark and wrote a story about a super hero stallion with a camera for a penis :V To me, these ideas are original.

Well yes I know the short ones are the most original but what I'm getting at is that I'm taking twixie for example umm there's a super original story called "of maids and mistresses" and that right there is original long and though filled again I'm not saying this isn't thought filled it is but that story is a story different from all the other twixie stories it's something completely new and original. See what I'm trying to dig up is that most these short stories are thought filled and original but there's a flaw, there sorta the same as the rest, again clopfics are mostly the same when there explaining the feelings in that character, and when it comes to very different clopfics or regular fics most fans love it because it's fresh and new of explaining things and a story line that is completely different from the rest. I know it would take a lot of time and reading to completely turn the tables on the other stories that have like the same feelings and ways of explaining feelings. Again this is a good short story I like it but I'm just saying that the way of explaining the feelings are mostly the same as some other clopfics that I've read

No, I meant that you're right XD There really aren't enough original long stories with compelling storylines. I have a lot of ideas and stuff. I just have to figure out what I want to experiment with in the future, and what kind of story I want to write first.
