...I do hope you realize that even taking Mendelian genetics into account, there is still a highly unlikely chance that a pegasus could ever descend from a family of earth ponies. especially when you take into account that there is no recorded evidence of cross-subspecies breeding amongst the ponies.

3267117 magical cartoon ponies. Even if we went at length seriously about genetics, in the show at least they can; Pound and Pumpkin Cake are a Unicorn and Pegasus given birth to by an Earth pony.

I swear I love this story. I hope by the end of this, fluttershy sgets a permanent aesthetic change. Like having frostwings and those icy eyes, or have her hair start to shimmer with ice crystals.
