Everypony gets sick sometimes. A number will try to ignore it. Some fight through it, even when they shouldn't. Others make sure they succumb as quickly as possible, and that everypony around them knows it. One or two might refuse to admit anything's wrong at all. But eventually, everypony will fall ill.

Twilight Sparkle goes to the Apple Family farm to retrieve Smarty Pants from Big Macintosh, and realizes that she may have done some damage to him. Concerned for his well-being, Twilight Sparkle works to ween him off his new condition, and consults with an expert on the subject. Over the following weeks, she realizes how troublesome taking care of anypony can be a hassle.

Raven Inkwell has served Mayor Mare ably for a long time, and it cannot be said that her time in Ponyville has been uneventful. But one day, when finally taking a break from her role as the Mayor's assistant, she instead goes to a certain other associate of hers.

Fifty years ago, the first thing most ponies thought when they heard the word "Ponyville" was "What?"

Ten years ago, it was "Monster attacks."

Right now, it's "Princess Twilight Sparkle," which is certainly a step in the right direction. Mayor Mare wants to keep up the momentum, but she needs help. And it just so happens that Twilight needs a favor to push this "School of Friendship" she's so eager to build past the zoning board...

The Mayor of Ponyville welcomes a new, glorious day in Ponyville. Her clerk deals with the day-to-day business of the town. After a thousand years, ponies will join together to welcome Luna's night. The celebration, and after. Bring muffins!

It takes a lot to be the mayor of a town like Ponyville. You've got to keep a level head in even the most crazy of situations. And believe me, a lot of crazy things happen to this town all the time. Why just the other day... what's that? A monster is attacking? Yes, we get that a lot, but don't worry. Princess Twilight and her friends will take care of it. They always do, after all!

What's that? They're busy with something else right now? But... but then who's going to take care of the monster?!

Just a one shot that wouldn't leave my head until it was written. I hope you at least get a giggle out of it!
