Rarity and Pinkie Pie have been pretty close lately, at least that is what Rainbow Dash thinks. When she brings this to Twilights attention curiosity gets the best of her. Now Rainbow Dash and Twilight are investigating Rarity and Pinkie Pie's relationship to see if there is anything there besides simple friendship.

When we slid into Pinkie's Party cave, some of us learned Pinkie's party plans. But when I got to read my dossier, in private, I learned something that might change the trajectory of my entire life.

Had Pinkie Pie read my soul and provided a vision of a future I could not resist? Or was she once again evilly taunting me, to get me to react? I could help animals, but could I help ponies and help myself?

While hiding from her sister's latest attempt to smarten her up, Sweetie Belle joins Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo at Ponyville's local river to have fun in the cool water. Together, they come up with a silly story explaining the origin of the infamous "Beauty Curse", a blight Rarity apparently suffers from.

This story is a sequel to Spike's Dolls

Spike didn't see Rainbow and Pinkie laughing in the bushes.

But Twilight did.

And she intends to find out exactly what those ponies have been up to.

"You're fired."
Well, great. Rainbow Bucking Awesome Danger Dash no longer has a job. Now what?
You can probably guess exactly what.

The crime? Murder.
The victim? Prince Blueblood.
The culprit?

Well, that one's Rarity's job.

Your Hearth's Warming gift is the ultimate way to show your loved ones how much you care about them, so it's absolutely, positively important that you make sure it's the best it can be! At least, that's what Pinkie Pie says, and who is Rainbow Dash to argue with that logic? If you love your friends, you should go out of your way to make sure that their gifts are super special.

But when Rainbow starts feeling like her gift to Rarity might not be as perfect as she thought it was, she begins to worry that Rarity might get the wrong idea. Twilight's Hearth's Warming Eve party is tonight, so she'd better hurry and find something special!

Rarity realizes she has no idea where Scootaloo lives, and thus has no clue who to contact in the event of an emergency during Sweetie Belle's sleepover. Pinkie Pie helps Rarity on her quest to obtain Scootaloo's contact information while Rainbow Dash does her best to thwart her efforts.
