In this world, a powerful force has merged two dimensions to one, who would orchestrate such a move is a mystery. Canterlot High, home to the Rainbooms, have felt this weird force and are curious as to where it came from. But the school decided to throw in a special surprise, a visit to a city called Wardington. The girls never knew a city by that name, thinking it might be connected to this weird force. So they packed up everything they could and traveled to the city.

Once there, the girls would investigate where the force had originated, only to find themselves looking over each civilian and discovering these weird colored balls. Unsure as to what they are, they soon find themselves caught in the middle of their greatest discovery: the Bakugan themselves.

They would later get acquainted with the famous Battle Brawlers, as they too were investigating the same force that merged their worlds. Whilst during their visits, they would later find themselves caught in the middle of the story of Vestroia, the mystery of the Bakugan and more. They would train themselves along with their new friends how to brawl, master their ability cards, talk strategy and other tactics. Along with that, they have to use a Bakugan they chose while finding their new partners. These adventures will take the Rainbooms and Battle Brawlers all around the world, discovering the origins of the Bakugan, battling foes and save the world. This is Equestria Girls: Legend of Vestroia.

This is the story of the Tournament of Duelling Fun, a tournament in the same vein as the tournament of power but with Yugioh cards. Canterlot High will have to duel in order to reclaim their freedom when Champa shows up demanding they play for him or else! The Rainbooms and their allies will duel against duelists from 11 other Universes. Can they face this challenge and come out the winners or are they doomed to fall to another?

This story take place after Fluttershy explained all the misunderstandings her friends came across when they thought she murdered Rainbow Dash. When Fluttershy tried to apologize to them, Rainbow tells her that she doesn't need to apologize and that they are the ones at fault for everything. Fluttershy disagree with her girlfriend statement and once again gives a logical explanation as to why they were at fault as well.

Before Rainbow Dash and Zephyr began to surf again, Zephyr wanted to trade surfboards since he likes Rainbow’s a lot better. Rainbow agrees but she'll never trust Zephyr after what happens next.
