Oh yes I did leave it on cliffhanger but unfortunately couldn't find time to finish the story and it's been 2 years so I cancelled it.
But I can tell you all of what was meant to happen, it was only 2-3 chapters from being finished! There's a bit more of next chapter written, they get text from T to meet them and bring crystal so they are worried about finally finding out who it is and what crystal they are talking about. Then Rarity mentions Sunset gave her a gemstone to keep safe while she was on a date.
Next what would happen is that, since Sunset is pony from Equestria who stole a powerful crystal to do magic, back years ago when she arrived someone saw her, it was mystery masked person. The person under mask is Celestia. She wants the power for herself and has been trying to get it ever since she let Sunset join Canterlot High when she came from pony world and didn't know anything about humans.
Trixie was working with her to get votes to be captain since everyone will feel sorry for her knowing she was kidnapped. Later girls manage to free their friends and stop Celestia from taking the crystal (with the power of crystal). They let the police know and police arrests both Celestia and Trixie.
Rarity becomes captain, Discord says he told them so and the group decides they will continue help solve mysteries around school and of course they stay friends.
