To stop Twilight her friends have organized The Rebellion, a group lead by Sunset Shimmer trying to take her down. Everything happened so fast back then and they had to adjust quickly. Everyone did.
They have gained only a few members trying to help them since everyone was so afraid of Her Who Shall Not Be Named.
Or now maybe she shall be named.
Since Nightmare Moon has been ruling with the help of one Element of Harmony and the Element of Disharmony, it was very easy for her to take over the world. The darkness came over both the wizarding and the human world. No one was safe and on one tried to fight. Nightmare Moon's army was just too strong.
She has turned Hogwarts into the castle she lives and rules in. Gained even more followers and people trying to get to her good side like Capper did.

"Any new recruits today?" Sunset has enter their hiding spot. It was a small dark room, hidden from public that only the members of The Rebellion knew about.
At the beginning there were only Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy and Sunset Shimmer but over time some others, like their former professor Snape, professor McGonagall and Hagrid, joined too. No one could believe what happened to headmaster Dumbledore.
However, some people from their school ran away to hide. Trixie was never heard from again, Zephyr let Fluttershy know he is going back home, Applejack didn't allow anyone from her family to come help, Pinkie's sister Maud joined but her other sisters stayed far away from the fight, Rainbow's parents just didn't care and Rarity tried to contact Capper but with no luck. It has been five years like this. Everyone was already losing hope.
"No... sadly not," Fluttershy replied distantly in thoughts.
"Ugh, we are never going to win like this!" Sunset was frustrated. They had been waiting for a good moment to attack but they were never able to break into Hogwarts. They needed more people to help. "We lack people!"
"Maybe this time it is really over..." Fluttershy wasn't optimistic.
"Don't be ridiculous! We didn't spend five years just to give up now!" Rarity was trying to cheer her up. She was very excited. "After all, I maybe finally have a plan!"
"You do?" Rainbow came inside too.
"Yes, I have finally came in contact with Capper!" she said and continued to sew a dress she was repairing.
There were a few moments of silence before Applejack spoke, "and?"
"And? He apologized," Rarity casually said.
"What does that mean for us?" Sunset was suddenly interested. "Is he on our side?"
"Yes, of course! He decided to switch to our side!" Rarity was proud.
"As much as I trust the judgment of the leader of this group I have to point out, what if he is just trying to destroy us for the One Who Shall Not Be Named?" Snape asked suspiciously.
"Oh come on, Severus! You can say her name! She will come after us either way!" McGonagall was annoyed.
"I assure you all, Capper has really changed! Actually, he was never bad! He just tried to survive and what is wrong about that?" Rarity defended him.
"That he worked with super dark wizard and helped her take over the world and now everyone is suffering!" Pinkie answered.
"Well nevermidn that, he is on our side now and I assure you he will really help!"
"I wonder if Discord is on our side...." Fluttershy was deep in her thoughts.
"Are you still on about Discord? Fluttershy it has been FIVE years!" Rainbow was annoyed.
"Hey, I think I am not the one who you should be telling that! You never tell Sunset anything about Twilight!" Fluttershy got mad.
"Because Sunset seems to be losing her mind in this enough already! I can at least spare her facing the reality!"
"But I am not under stress at all, is that it?" Fluttershy argued.
"Girls stop it!" Sunset interrupted. "I know we all are under tension these days and it is not the time to fight with each other or point finger at one another! Let's focus on brining the good and light back! And love problems come later!"
"Ughhh, fine!" Rainbow agreed.
"So Capper will be our inside guy but we need to keep an eye on him!" Sunset said.
"Our plan still won't work!" Snape pointed out.
"And why is that?" Sunset was confused. "With Capper we will be able to get in!"
"Be able to get in and be outnumbered and captured!" Snape was angry. "We still lack people!"
"And what do you suggested? Where do we find someone who would be able to help us?! No one wants to, everyone is scared! And we don't know anyone who would come help!" Sunset was lost at what to do. She knew Snape was right but she couldn't do anything about people not joining or not even knowing about The Rebellion.
And what if Capper does betray them or if they get captured? They really will be outnumbered and no one will be left to save them! She didn't want to think what would happen to them then.
She didn't want to think about what will happen when they get there either. Will she really fight Twilight? She didn't let herself process any feelings last few years, just constantly kept pushing to get a chance to talk to her ex to maybe change her mind about the whole world domination thing. Twilight is a good person, there has to be a way to get her back on the right path.
"I may have a suggestion," Snape replied casually.
"Sure," Sunset was open to ideas.
"There are some people who can help us, but I am sure neither of you will like it!"
Oh no. "Who?"
"Some people who were your enemies before."
Oh no.
"Some that are still in Azkaban to this day and want revenge on Twilight."
There is no way Sunset will seek help from Cadence, Shining Armor, Mel and Stacy! She would never do that! They can win this without them.
As much as she tries to respect ideas of her past teachers, even though Snape has always been on really thin line, this time she can't even consider it. Sure all of those people want revenge on Twilight and Discord and they would try to stop them but they also want revenge on them. Who is to say they would ever help them? It would just make things worse!
So Sunset is going with the obvious choice. Asking Rarity to contact Capper and help them break inside so she can talk to Twilight and get her to help them take down Nightmare Moon.
What about Discord you say? Sunset hasn't been thinking about Discord at all. Or the world for that matter. Her only focus is Twilight. She had to save her from the darkness she surrounded herself with.
But to wait for Capper to contact Rarity back will be harder than Sunset though. There is nothing left to do but make last preparations and be ready when he calls.

"I hate this!" Rainbow was frustrated. She went on a walk with Applejack to take a break from it all. At least as much as she could since the sky has been dark ever since Nightmare Moon became the one in charge. Everything was gloomy, cold, dark.
"I know, sugarcube! Me too! But I am sure things will be over soon! We will take her down and everything will be okay!" Applejack tried to stay positive and reassured her girlfriend.
"I really hope you are right! It's just so hard to wait! I need action! I need to save the world now!" Rainbow tried to explain.
"I know... waiting really is hard..." she said as she sat down and Rainbow joined her.
They have sat on a bench in silence for few moments before Rainbow asked, "do you miss seeing your family?"
"Yeah... I wonder how they are doing! I have only been sending and recieving letters from them. Can't wait to see them!"
"I am sure they are okay over there on farm!" Rainbow reassured.
"I can't believe they all will be five years older when I see them! If things were normal, Apple Bloom would already be in Hogwarts! I just miss them so much!"
"I just know they miss you too!" Rainbow smiled.
"I am sure your parents do too!" Applejack added.
"Nah, they probably didn't even notice I was gone. Maybe they don't even know darkness took over the world!" Rainbow was partly frustrated but mostly deep in her thoughts.
"I am so sorry, sugarcube," she didn't know what to say so she took her girlfriend's hand.
"Don't be. We talked about this, I am over that! I have the most amazing friends and girlfriend with me! I just don't want to lose any of you and this Rebellion thing seems dangerous. Not for me, of course!"
"Of course," Applejack eyerolled at that world.
"But for all of you! I can stand being captured but I couldn't stand any of you getting captured!"
"Well I couldn't stand you getting captured either!"
Rainbow smiled. "We will all have each others backs, I just know it. I only hope our plan will work!"
"Me too, sugarcube! Me too," Applejack leaned her head on Rainbow's shoulder.

Sunset was sitting in their hiding spot drinking some tea. Very soon Snape walked in and joined her.
Sunset was looking at old photo of her and her friends from their first year. She smiled.
"It hurts, doesn't it?" Snape asked. "Trying to get over old love."
"It isn't old love!" Sunset got defensive.
"And yet you are so occupied you don't see the bigger picture! You so badly want to get to her and not get her hurt that you don't do what is best for the world!" Snape was angry.
"I am not here to save the world! I am here to save my.... friend."
"Ex friend. Ex girlfriend too. Now enemy."
"Ugh, you are the one to speak? Do you even know anything about love?!" Sunset lost it.
"We aren't here to talk about me!" he was angry. But then he sighed seeing no point in arguing this time, "love sometimes makes us do stupid things, it makes us go to great lenghts."
"Yeah... but one can't help it," Sunset calmed down and sank back to her thoughts.
"But one can't help it," Snape repeated her words slowly.
They both went back to drinking their tea in silence.

But one can't help it," Capper whispered to himself as he was finishing writing a note to Rarity of when they can come to the Hogwarts castle. "But sadly betrayal is like my middle name by now." He turned to Twilight and Discord standing at the doorway listening to him.
"Good," Twilight smiled. "Now give me the letter so I can send it to Rarity!"
He gave her the letter and she left while Discord didn't stop staring at him angrily.
"Is there anything I can help you with?" Capper was annoyed.
"You are betraying Rarity's trust.... again."
"Yes, I know!" he was angry.
"Don't you love her?" He tried to understand.
"Yes? No? I have no idea. Why does it matter?"
"Why does it matter? You can't betray someone you love!" Discord snapped.
"Well you did!"
"And I regreted it ever since!" Discord looked at Capper. "If you love Rarity, you will help me stop this nonsence about capturing them when they come tomorrow night. You can't keep on playing for both sides. It's finally time to chose, and the choice is all yours! Either Nightmare Moon or Rarity!" Discord said seriously before he left.
No matter what Capper decides, he still had only one job to do when they come and that is to make sure he saves his friends and Fluttershy.
It was time. Rarity got Capper's letter and they decided tonight is the night they will finally get Twilight back, I mean save the world!
"Okay so just stick to the plan and it will work!" Sunset repeated.
"What if it doesn't work?" Applejack pointed out.
"Yeah what if Twilight doesn't change her mind?" Rainbow agreed.
"Can somebody please explain how is getting Twilight back on our side being our only goal going to help stop Nightmare Moon?" Fluttershy pointed out.
"Think about bigger picture!" Sunset was under a lot of stress. "And she will change her mind, you all will see!"
"We are doomed," Snape said to himself.
They sneaked into the castle. ____
Everything was going well, just as Capper promised. Maybe even too well. No attacks, no guards, everything avoided, no problems, everyone fine.
They reached throne room with not much struggle.
"This is so weird!" Pinkie whispered loudly.
"Tell me about it!" Rainbow agreed.
"Shush, I think I heard something!" Sunset panicked.
Suddenly, they turned around to see they were outnumbered by many. Surrounded by Nightmare Moon's army. She was sitting on the throne and next to her a guilty Capper.
"You betrayed me again?" Rarity was furious. Her heart was breaking in half. How could she have fallen for his trap again?
"Called it!" Snape eyerolled as Rarity cried.
"You will pay for this!" Sunset was angry.
"No, you will pay for this," Nightmare Moon was laughing. "You really think you can stop me? Think again!"
"Too bad, you could have joined us so many moons ago. You would have all the power," Twilight said.
"Twilight, please, come back to us," Sunset was desperate.
"I can't," she barely let out. Her face was indifferent but a tear dropped from her eyes.
"Sure you can!" Sunset got hope.
"No! I can't! Crucio!" she casted at Sunset.
Her screams filled the room as everyone started to fight. But more than the pain she was in was the pain in her heart. Twilight really won't come back, she is torturing her. It's over. And they are losing. There is no way they will make it out this time.
Unless...
"Expelliarmus!" Discord casted at Twilight whose wand dropped and Sunset was free. There was no way she could save anyone so she started to run outside.
Twilight, Capper and Nightmare Moon were in shock. "You?!" Nightmare Moon was furious, "how dare you?!"
"I, unlike some others here, decided I won't trade love and friendship for some stupid power over world!" he pointed wand at Nightmare Moon. "So Capper, will you join me or not?"
Rarity was watching and battling a soilder, she got her hopes up. Maybe all is not lost after all.
"Never!" Capper pointed wand at Discord.
Or maybe it is lost.
"Flipendo!" Discord casted at Capper.
"Protego!" he defended.
"Crucio!" Nightmare Moon threw at Discord.
"Agh!" he fell in pain.
"Crucio!" someone said and Nightmare Moon was the one who fell in pain. Everybody turned around to see Fluttershy.
"Fluttershy?" Discord got up speechless.
"Run!" She yelled and started running after Sunset. He joined her.
"Oh no, you won't!" Nightmare Moon screamed. Darkness started appearing from every corner. It started to get closer to everyone, locking every window and door. Fluttershy and Discord jumped out last minute.
But everyone else was trapped.

Sunset was waiting outside when she saw Discord and Fluttershy approach.
"Where is everyone?" she was worried.
"Just get us out of here! Now!" Fluttershy yelled and Sunset got them out.

They were at their secret hiding place.
"Ugh, how could we have been so stupid! I knew it, I just knew something will go bad! And Twilight, she didn't want to join us. SHE ATTACKED ME?" Sunset was pacing around the room.
"Called it," Fluttershy couldn't help herself.
"Aren't you suppossed to be the kind one out of all of us?" Sunset was frustrated.
"We almost either died or got trapped by a crazy wizard," she reminded her.
"Okay, fair," Sunset took a deep breath.
"Can't believe he actually didn't join me! I really thought my short speech got through to him!" Discord was holding his head.
"I doubt any speech you make can make someone switch sides," Sunset eyerolled.
"Excuse me?" Discord was angry.
"You joined Nightmare Moon!" She reminded him.
"We all make stupid mistakes!"
"Can we PLEASE not fight right now?" Fluttershy interruped them.
"Aren't you the one who was the angriest at him?" Sunset was confused.
"Yes and I still am but our friends might be dying out there and we need to act instantly! We will clear our personal problems and fights later!" She was confident.
"Damn! That's the human I love right there!" Discord was amazed. "Thank you for saving me!"
"No problem," she smiled.
"You're right, we need to act now," Sunset had a headache. "Any suggestions?"
"We can't do this alone. Do you have anyone who can help us?" Discord asked.
Oh no. "Well not really" Sunset got awkward.
"But we do, don't we?" Fluttershy got uncomfortable too remembering who will they need to ask for help.
Oh no! "No, we don't!" Sunset was angry. There is no way!
Fluttershy, however, tried to be reasonable and think logically, "we don't have anyone else!"
"Who are we talking about?" Discord was suspicious. "If we are talking about the ones I think we are then no! There is no way!"
"It's the only way we have now!" Fluttershy pointed out.
OH NO! "It is..." Sunset said quietly. There was no point in denying it. They didn't have anyone to ask for help, no one who would actually join them. It had to be someone who hates Twilight, someone just waiting for a revenge on all of them. Sunset didn't even want to think about it but Fluttershy was right, it is the only way. If they are going to save their friends and the world, they will need to go get help from Shinning Armor, Cadence, Stacy and Mel.
Sunset, Fluttershy and Discord went to Azkaban. No one wanted to be the one to ask their enemies for help but that was the only choice they had.
So Sunset approached their jail cells.
"Well look who we have here," Mel smiled. "Came to apologize?"
"Never," Discord was angry.
"What could you possibly be doing here?" Cadence was supicious.
"We need your help," Sunset said indifferently.
"Pft, are you crazy?" Stacy laughed.
"I ask myself the same question every day," Fluttershy whispered to herself. Discord quickly gave her a glance.
"Why from us?" Shinning Armor.
"I think you would care enough to know your sister became power obsessed and joined the darkest wizard in the world right now," she said strictly.
"Good for her," he was bored. "Look if you came here to brag about Twily's accomplishments you can just leave!"
"We need help stopping her," she ignored his words.
He smirked, "now I'm listening."
Sunset continued to explain everything, from their plan to what they need.
"You all are idiots!" Stacy laughed. "You just trusted that Capper guy? Just like that?"
"Leave our judgments alone!" Sunset said. "Are you in or not?"
"Oh, I'm in! It's time to take my sister down!" Shining Armor way excited.
"I'm in too! I go wherever Shining goes," Cadence winked at him.
"Ugh, romance," Discord eyerolled.
"You're literally--" Sunset started to whisper yell at him but stopped herself since there was no point.
"I am in too! I need to get out of here!" Stacy said.
"Me too!" Mel said and suspiciously looked at Discord and Fluttershy.
"Great, great, now let's get them out and leave!" Discord tried to hurry them up. "I hate this place."
Sunset freed them and they ran back to their secret place.

"Does everyone understand the plan?" Sunset asked after drawing and explaining the whole plan on a board.
"That is the worst drawing ever," Stacy complained.
"I didn't ask that!" Sunset raised her voice.
"Yes, the plan is clear," Mel eyerolled. She was sitting with her arms crossed and not paying much attention.
"We start tomorrow?" Shining asked again to confirm.
"Yes! I am glad someone listened it all," Sunset was frustrated again. She was trying so hard but who knows if this will even work.
"Too bad Twily let you go, you are very smart just like her," he said smiling.
No, Sunset won't think about Twilight or her brother's teasing. She will just ignore the comments.
"How do we know we can even trust them?" Discord finally asked.
"You don't, isn't it great?" Stacy laughed.
"If we are going to work together all of us need to trust each other!" Sunset said as serious as anyone can be. She had her arms crossed and her stare was slightly blank.
Everyone stopped for few seconds and there was silence. Then suddenly all of them laughed.
"Ah, good one! This is the best joke you ever said, Sunset!" Discord was barely catching breath.
When everyone realized Sunset was serious, they stopped laughing. "Ah shit, you are being serious," Discord broke the silence and stated the obvious.
"What happens after we take down Nightmare Moon?" Fluttershy was curious. They didn't discuss if they will return them to Azkaban.
"Isn't it obvious?" Candence smiled, "we fight for who gets to take over the world!"
"No!" Fluttershy quickly replied.
"No one will rule the world!" Sunset was angry. "We need to get it back as it was!"
"Lame!" Mel eyerolled at her, still sitting in her corner with arms crossed. Sunset was frustrated, can't at least one thing go right in their way?
I guess not. She took a deep breath,"I guess we will fight then... but for now we have common enemy and same mission! If this is to work, we need to work together! And working together means trusting one another!" She said strictly.
"We can't trust each other," Shining Armor stated the obvious.
"For the first time, I agree with this guy," Discord added. Sunset was losing it.
"We don't have to fully trust each other, of course!" She explained, "just enough to get through this mission alive and take down Nightmare Moon!"
"I can't promise I will save anyone," Stacy shrugged.
"Yeah, sounds like you," Discord eyerolled again.
"You still angry about it all?" Stacy got excited at opprotunity to get him angry and tease him.
"It has been a while," Discord remembered.
"Yeah... I can't believe I am 23 now," Fluttershy joined in. "This thing has been happening for 5 years now. I would have finished Hogwarts by now. We all would!"
"Tell me about it! Will we have to go back after this is over?" Discord started to worry. Being 25 now, he will not go to school until he is over 30.
"I think not?" Sunset thought it through. "It will probably be our decision."
"We still have a long way to there," Fluttershy was deep in her thoughts.
"Yeah, let's all go get enough sleep and prepare!" Sunset said.
Everyone went to their beds. Tomorrow was a big day and they needed to be ready.
However, Discord came to Fluttershy.
"Yes?" she asked.
"I need to apologize," he took a deep breath. "I have no idea what was I thinking or what got to me at that moment. I regreted it ever since but couldn't find a way to escape and come here to help you and, most importantly, apologize."
"I was so angry at you and heartbroken," Fluttershy was sadly remembering the events.
"And I am truly sorry. If there is anything I can do so you can forgive me..."
"All is forgiven!" she stopped him.
"Really?" he was shocked and doubted it.
"Yeah, we all make mistakes and I was so heartbroken. I probably wouldn't forgive you this fast back then but it has been 5 years after all. I calmed down. I know you are a good person because you are trying right now to make it right. That's what counts, who we are now! No matter our past mistakes it is never too late to go back to the right path as long as we are alive. And that is what you did, you got back on the right way!"
"I betrayed you and left to go with dark wizard to take over THE WORLD? Are you insane?" he still couldn't believe it.
"Maybe a bit," she laughed.
"Or a lot..." Sunset was heard from a nearby bed. She was grumpy and half asleep.
"You really are the kindest person I have ever met!" Discord hugged Fluttershy.
"Okay, any last words and questions before we start the plan?" Sunset asked to make sure everyone understands.
"I can't wait for my sister to go down!" Shining smiled.
"I hate you all," Mel eyerolled.
"We hate you too," Discord replied.
"I don't promise I won't hurt anyone," Stacy laughed.
"And I am only here to support Shining!" Cadence shrugged.
"And I failed a class once so I had to go back a year and it has haunted me ever since," Fluttershy said in panic.
Sunset facepalmed. "I meant about the plan! Not the confessions!"
Everyone stared at her. "Good! Let's go!"

They entered. It was dark and hard to get in with all the guards around.
Discord, Fluttershy, Mel and Stacy went to free the prisoners. Sunset, Shining and Cadence went to Nightmare Moon and Twilight.
When they arrived to jail they were surprised to see that there were only 3 guards standing there.
"Flipendo!" Fluttershy knocked them out.
"Bombarda!" Stacy smiled.
"No!" Fluttershy yelled as explosion came from Stacy's spell and guards were now trapped under some wall. "Will they be okay?"
"Yes," Discord said as he checked to see if they are alive.
Rainbow, Rarity, Applejack, Snape and Pinkie Pie were staring at them. "You guys came!" Rainbow and everyone else was shocked to see them. "You all work fast!"
"What are they doing here?!" Applejack freaked out at Stacy and Mel.
"Oh don't worry, they are with us!" Discord quickly said as he went to free them from jail.
"For now," Stacy smiled.
"Long story," Discord seemed exhausted.
"You will have to explain this later!" Rarity didn't want to let it go but she couldn't stop thinking about what is to come and about Capper.
Discord freed them and they hurried to go join Sunset and the rest in fighting dark wizards.

Meanwhile Sunset, Shining and Cadence were sneaking around when they finally got to the room Nightmare Moon was in. Twilight must be there too. There were few guards outside but they fought them easily. Sunset has mastered many spells since her days at Hogwarts.
"Finally you came!" Nightmare Moon was thrilled as she noticed them enter trying to sneak in. Twilight was standing next to her and Capper stood nearby too. He still looked really guilty. "Oh you brought backup? Told you Twilight that they hate you and just want to take you down!"
Twilight was furious. She couldn't believe what was just happening. "You brought my brother and his girlfriend with you?! How could you?! That's really low even for you!"
"You didn't really leave me any other choice! I need to save the world!" Sunset was angry.
"No! You only want revenge on me! You hate me! Nightmare Moon was right all along! Crucio!" she casted at Sunset.
Sunset fell in pain yet again but this time it didn't last long," Expelliarmus!" Shining saved her. He actually saved her! This might work after all.
"You will pay for that!" Twilight screamed as she quickly grabbed her wand and casted Bombarda at roof above Cadence. Roof exploded and pieces fell right on her.
"No, Cadence!" Shining cried out but it was too late.
"Depulso!" Sunset tried to attack but Twilight defended herself.
As Shining was crying, Nightmare took the opprotunity to deal with him too. "This is too easy," she just yawned.
Sunset couldn't believe it. Both of them... taken care of. She has to fight all by herself and her chances are low with Twilight, Nightmare and all their guards around her. They will lose it. It's over.
Suddenly, Discord and the rest got in and a big fight started. Everyone was at least a bit sad about Shining and Cadence but it was not time to think about it now.
Applejack and Rainbow fought some guards, with their bare hands. "Should we pull out the wands and get this over quicker?" Applejack asked.
"No! We are winning anyway," Rainbow was too sure of herself.
Applejack just eyerolled and took her wand out anyway. They continued to fight.
Pinkie joined Mel and Stacy in fighting some more guards. There was just so many. Too many. There is no way 3 of them will take them all down but they won't quit trying.
One guard casted a spell at Pinkie and she was wounded. She fell to the floor with pain. Stacy and Mel didn't really help her so she tried her best to cover the wound to survive.
Snape joined Sunset in fighting. He would never admit but he was actually impressed she learnt almost as many spells as skilled teachers know.
Fluttershy went to try to see if she can save Shining and Cadence. It was too late and she started crying.
"Fluttershy move!" Discord yelled as he stepped in front of her before a spell from Nightmare Moon made her join Shining and Cadence. However, it hit him.
"No! Discord!" she screamed and got up to fight Nightmare but she wasn't successful. Didn't even have a chance to cast anything before she was hit with the same spell Discord has been.
Sunset panicked. Her friends were going down, her and Snape didn't have much chance. Snape protected himself from spell but it hit her. She was now wounded and not much of a help. She saw Pinkie was also hurt and lost a lot of blood.
Stacy, Mel and Snape were soon hit too.
Applejack and Rainbow were thrown into another room by big hits. "Ouch!" Rainbow yelled.
"This isn't looking good!" Applejack panicked as she looked out into the battlefield.
Rarity tried to fight. She did her best but she was never skilled fighter. Just as she was about to be hit Capper jumped in front of her and saved her. "I knew you were on our side!" Rarity cried.
"Well that for sure is a lie," Applejack sighed as she watched the events. "Rainbow, what do we do?" she panicked and couldn't help the tears running down her cheek.
"AJ, look!" she called out and was looking at time turner on the table.
Applejack started smiling, "maybe we can go into past and save them all! It's not too late!"
"Okay so they must be at point where they are locking us out of jail. Let's hurry to Sunset!" Applejack said. "And we can't be seen by ourselves. I am not sure if that is allowed."
"Wait, why don't we just go back 5 years when Twilight joined the dark side?" Rainbow was confused.
"Because then we would have to live 5 years with 2 of each of us living in same universe until we reach this point. Who knows if everything would collapse!"
"Fine!" Rainbow sighed. She didn't want universe to fall apart but this would be a harder way.
They came too late. Cadence was already under roof and Shining crying above her.
"How did we miss that!" Rainbow was annoyed.
"No time to think, let's go and save--" she tried to say just as Shining was hit too.
"Move! We will arrive now!" Rainbow pushed her into hiding place.
She was right, they arrived and went to help Sunset. The fight broke out.
"Okay, okay, who do we save first, what happened to someone first?" Applejack was in panic.
"I have no idea we were busy fighting! Let's go help Fluttershy!" Rainbow went sneaking around not to be noticed by herself. Applejack followed.
They came to Fluttershy just as she was about to be hit. "Protego!" Applejack saved... Discord who was saving Fluttershy.
"Thanks!" Discord said and him and Fluttershy went to fight Nightmare together.
"Bad news, Pinkie is on the floor already!" Rainbow whispered.
"We should have parted!" Applejack facepalmed.
"Maybe we can still help save others!" she was positive.
Rainbow went to Sunset and Snape while Applejack went to Rarity. Rainbow managed to stop Sunset from getting hit but Snape was then hit with spell that backfired from Fluttershy and Discord also fighting Nightmare. Can't anything work for Rainbow here? Just as she saves one person another gets hurt.
Mel and Stacy were hit.
Applejack saved Capper and Rarity but then she was hit with a spell. No way Rainbow will let that happen. Time to go back in time.

Applejack and Rainbow went back in time.
"Okay so they must be at point where they are locking us out of jail. Let's hurry to Sunset!" Applejack said. "And we can't be seen by ourselves. I am not sure if that is allowed."
"Wait, we already did went back in time," Rainbow explained and showed it to her.
"Oh.... was I hit with that spell?" everything was blurry but she does remember it hurting her.
"Yes, you got wounded, still alive but wounded. I grabbed you and took us both back."
"Thank you!" Applejack kissed her.
They stayed there for few moments before continuing to go save their friends and themselves. Suddenly bumped into random guard who hit them with spell. Time to go back in time, I guess.

Applejack and Rainbow went back for the 23rd time.
"This isn't working! There is no way we can save all, no matter what we try!" Rainbow was annoyed.
"We have to try, sugarcube! We are the only ones who can save everyone!" Applejack said. She knew they had tried so many times now and were both exhausted but if it meant getting to save the world and people they love then it was definitely worth it. "We just have to remember every detail!"
"You're right! I just hope we find the right combination soon with which we can save all!" Rainbow tried to think positively. It sure can't be many more times before they finally find the right one, right?
Right?!
They went again, Applejack went to save Discord. Oh wait, they forgot Cadence and Shining. Back yet again.

"I will lose it!" Rainbow almost yelled.
"Be quiet! We can't be discovered!" Applejack shushed her.
"I know! But this is out 35th time!" Rainbow was annoyed.
"Maybe even our last time? I am sure this time it will work. We just need to move Rarity 5 cm to the left."
"But then what about Capper?" Rainbow tried to remember the situation. They had come up with great plan where everyone could be saved. Maybe.
"You stop him before."
"No, then Rarity never forgives him!"
"Right... then we move him 5 cm to the left too!"
"Was it left or right?" Rainbow was getting louder.
"I don't know!" Applejack started to yell.
"What is that noise?" guard came in. "You two! How did you escape prison?" He hit them with spell and they hit back. They managed to take him down.
"Oh no..." Rainbow suddenly said.
"Don't say that! What do you mean by 'oh no'?" Applejack panicked and raised her head to see Rainbow holding the broken time turner. Shit! No going back to the past now.
"But we don't have a whole plan!" Applejack panicked.
"I know... I guess now who survives survives," Rainbow was sad.
This was all or nothing their only chance to save their friends. And the world.

How hard can it be when they did it 34 times before this. First they save Candence by catching the roof and moving it to the side. Then they save Cadence again because she was amazed by them saving her first time and moving roof she didn't notice 2nd blast coming her way. Meanwhile, Sunset and Shining fight Twilight.
Others enter. Applejack saves Discord who then with Fluttershy fights Nightmare. Rainbow saves Pinkie and moves her to go to Fluttershy and Discord.
"This is going well," Applejack said to herself.
Rainbow was fighting with Stacy and Mel.
Applejack went to help Snape and Sunset. She saved Sunset from being wounded and Snape from getting hit too. Then she told them to move to Discord, Fluttershy and Pinkie and yelled at them to just trust her after they started to quiestion. They were suspicious but did it anyway.
Just as she turned around she saw Rainbow being hit by a spell.
"Rainbow!" she cried out and ran to her.
Luckily, Rainbow was still alive, just hurt. "What happened?" she cried.
"I even tried to save Mel," she smiled.
"Don't ever scare me like this again!" she was relieved and kissed her.
The kiss didn't last very long since Mel was hit and Stacy screamed and tried to run away.
"Go save Rarity!" Rainbow said as she put pressure on her wound.
Applejack ran and moved Rarity and Capper to the left? Right? Left? I guess left it is, side just before they were hit.
"Good, it was the left side after all," Applejack sighed in relief.
"What?" Rarity and Capper were confused.
"Don't worry about it. I'll explain later," she ran back to Rainbow.
"We don't know what happens now," she was worried. "I'll take you to safety!" she took her in her hands and carried her to separate room. There she tried to help stitch the wound any way she could.

"I am so tired of this!" Sunset was frustrated. "Depulso!" she hit Twilight. Twilight fell to the floor. "Yes, finally!" Sunset was happy and ran to Twilight. She came to her with wand pulled out to her head.
Menawhile, other kept Nightmare occuppied.
"Move and I will hit you with the worst spell I can think of!" Sunset was furious.
"You wouldn't dare to hurt me!" Twilight smiled.
"Crucio!" Sunset said angrily while Twilight rolled in pain. She soon stopped. "Don't tempt me, Twilight!"
"Ugh, fine. Maybe I underestimated you."
"You did. What even happened to you? Why are you here?" she was disgusted that this is who her ex became. After so many good times before..... they are in the past.
"I don't know," she said sadly, "who cares, there's no going back anyway."
"There could be. Give up! Help us!" Sunset was tired from trying.
"Look, I don't want to be in Azkaban! I wanted power, got it, realized it's wrong and I hate every part of this but it is too late to go back now! They will put me forever in that jail!" Twilight tried to explain herself. "Please don't kill me!"
"I won't kill you! I might take you to Azkaban myself!" she said like it is the most obvious thing. "I am still so hurt over you betraying me! Did our relationship mean nothing to you?!"
"It meant so much!" Twilight was confident in this.
"Then why did you throw it all away!?!" Sunset screamed.
"I am not going to Azkaban!" Twilight pulled out her own wand and pointed it to Sunset's head. "You hurt me, I hurt you back."
"Can't believe you still don't want to own up to your mistakes!" Sunset was hurt.
"I just wanted it to go back like it used to be many years ago. Just two of us and our friends happily at Hogwarts. Remember when we first told each other our feelings at that dance?" she smiled.
"Yeah... that was an amazing night."
"We were under moonlight!"
"You were a nervous mess!" Sunset laughed.
"You were kinda nervous too!" Twilight teased.
Sunset suddenly got serious, "that was a really long time ago. It's been ages since then. Nothing is the same."
"Maybe it could be back like that.... here."
"It can never go back to that. Especially not if you don't admit to your mistakes and help us," Sunset was cold then angry.
Tear dropped down Twilight's face.
Few moments passed by. "Would I ever have a chance to make it up to you? To be together again?" Twilight asked.
"Don't know. You hurt me pretty bad. Kinda doubt it."
"Can I still try?"
"I guess," Sunset said. She wasn't sure what Twilight meant. Then Twilight quickly hit her arm, moved it so wand wasn't pointed at her anymore and held out her wand that was pointed at... Sunset?
No. It wasn't pointing at Sunset. It was pointing right behind her... at....
"Avadaka--" Twilight casted at Nightmare Moon but before she could finish Capper took her down.
"Oh seriously dude?!" Rainbow was annoyed from other room.
"No!" Rarity cried yet again.
"My speech really didn't get to him," Discord said sadly.
"Do your speeches ever work?!" Pinkie was angrily fighting guards.
"It's okay, you tried!" Fluttershy tried to comfort him.
Sunset jumped on Capper and removed him. "Twilight now!"
Twilight casted the spell at Nightmare Moon who was distracted by fighting others. She fell down to the floor. Everybody stopped fighting.
"Twilight, you did it!" Sunset hugged her. "I knew you would come around!"
"Thanks for believing in me!" Twilight smiled and hugger her back.
Everybody else ran to a group hug. Capper slipped away and ran.
When they all parted, Sunset was first to speak, "I still don't forgive you but this is a good way towards redemption. You saved the world!"
"Yeah, I know. I will answer for all I did but I just wanted to make it right."
"She saved the world from Nightmare... but not from us!" Shining pulled out his wand.
"Oh no, I am the one who will rule!" Mel pointed wand at them too but she was hurt and on the floor. Nobody knew if she would make it. She wasn't a threat.
Guards moved away. There was no point in fighting now for them. Others did start to fight.
First taken down was Stacy she was on her way to run to freedom but Applejack caught her and trapped her.
Others fought Cadence and Shining Armor. Those 2 were outnumbered so they were quickly trapped too. Cadence by Pinkie and Shining by Twilight.
"I will get you one day, Twily!" Shining yelled.
"Yeah, right... which attempt is this already?" she gave a fake yawn.
"We will she each other in Azkaban!" Shining smiled.
Twilight got sad. Sunset put a hand on her shoulder, "we will still see about that!"
"Well, this is a big mess that we need to settle!" Fluttershy said.
"Let's first go grab a doctor to help Rainbow and Mel if she can make it, and then go to the Ministry of Magic to deal with it all!" Sunset said as they went to pick stuff up and go take bad guys to Azkaban.
Many things have happened since the fight. Rainbow Dash and Mel got to the doctor on time and both survived. Mel was taken to Azkaban right after with Shining, Stacy and Cadence.
Capper ran away and was living his best life in the human world where nobody knew about him. He won't be going to prison any time soon and will make sure he is never caught.
However, Rarity was very hurt that Capper has betrayed them once again. She really believed he could be on their side. I guess he was just choosing whichever side fitted him best at that moment but she was still very grateful that he tried to save her life.
Snape and the rest of the teachers returned to Hogwarts. The great rebuilding of Hogwarts castle began and soon enough classes will be able to start again. The problem is everybody lost 5 years to the war. They didn't finish their education. Teachers agreed to start a speed one year courses for those that should have finished Hogwarts in the last 5 years. They can choose which profession they want and then study all for it for a year.
Twilight and other followers of Nightmare Moon faced trials by Ministry of Magic. After many courts, Twilight was decided to only be put to Azkaban for few years since her friends stood up for her and explained how she after all saved the Wizarding World. She will be allowed to go to Hogwarts for a year to finish studies and then needs to come back to Azkaban to serve her punishment. After that she is free to go.

It was the start of their last year at Hogwarts. Everybody met up in front of the school.
"I can't believe we are back here again," Rainbow started, "I already thought we would never finish school."
"Me too! This feels so strange thinking that just few months ago we were fighting for our lives and the fate of the whole universe!" Applejack agreed.
"Tell me about it!" Discord was tired just remembering the events.
"I am just sad that we won't have that many same classes now since we didn't all pick the same profession," Fluttershy mentioned.
"We will still be around and hang out all the time. I think we deserve this break and to go back to normal," Sunset said.
"As much normal as it can be, I guess," Twilight approached the group. They tried to fix all of their friendships and decided to try and let Twilight be back around them. They still have a long way to go if they will ever be as close as they were before but are definitely on the right path.
"I can't believe we still have same uniforms as before! Couldn't they have put something more fashionable?" Rarity complained.
"There was whole end of the world stopping that!" Applejack was annoyed.
"It isn't an excuse for bad fashion now! They had months!"
"I just can't wait to spend the year with all of us together again!" Pinkie tried to switch the topic.
"Yeah, what did you all say you signed up to be?" Twilight wondered.
"Herbologist," Fluttershy said proudly.
"Definitely a Cruse-Breaker!" Sunset said happily.
"Oh, me too!" Rainbow added proudly.
"I am in that course too!" Applejack was happy too, "but I think I will return to my farm after this all. Maybe do a mix of both."
"And this way I can always be around my girlfriend if we are in same profession!" Rainbow was excited while Applejack smiled at her.
"Nice! I will be a Healer! Will try to get a job at Hogwarts or some other place nearby," Pinkie said.
"I'll work for Muggle Relations," Discord said. He decided to work on promoting equality between wizards from wizarding families and those from human families.
"I will be a Wandmaker! I think it's finally time someone makes fabulous wands with more unique and fashionable designs!" Rarity said excitedly.
"And I have decided to become Auror to fight all the future Dark Wizards," Twilight said. They were all very proud of her for learning her lesson and trying to fix her mistakes.
Sunset looked at the clock, "seems like we still have some time left before Headmaster's annual beginning of the year speech. Wanna go to the Astronomy Tower as we used to?"
"Yes!" they all liked the idea.

They were all staring at the view from the tower. It was so peaceful and quiet one would almost forget just months before this there was a war happening here. Everybody just enjoyed the silence and each others company.
It felt strange. It was a new beginning and a chance for everyone to have a normal life but it still felt like an end of something. Things will never be the same after all of this.
"Hey guys, what will we do with The Elements of Harmony?" Pinkie suddenly remembered. How could they have forgotten?
Sunset gave it a thought before speaking, "let's each keep their own and have them with us at all times. I think we should use it for good!"
"But this time for real!" Twilight was embarrassed.
Everybody agreed and continued to lay down and stare at the open skies and sunshine. Soon was the time to go. Sunset and Twilight were last ones walking out. Twilight pulled Sunset back.
"I have a question," she started as Sunset was quietly staring, "could we maybe try again? With our relationship I mean."
Sunset didn't know what to answer. She hadn't moved on from Twilight but she still hurt her. However, she came back to the good side and saved the world. She also has been helping past few months to make everything better and is really trying to make it up to all of them. "I guess we could," she finally said. "I can't promise it will work but honestly I want to see where it will go."
"Thank you for giving me another chance!" Twilight smiled.
Sunset grabbed her hand, "you earned it yourself. I am glad you came back to your senses and changed."
They exited the tower and went to Dinning Hall for new headmaster's McGonagall's speech.

In the hall Twilight kept getting angry stares but she didn't care much. She got a new chance at life and relationships around her and she was happy. She sat back at Slytherin table next to Rainbow.
"You make Slytherins look bad," Trixie complained.
"Trixie, will you ever stop?" Rainbow was annoyed.
"No," she simply said. No one had a chance to reply since the speech was starting.
"Hello students and welcome to your last year at Hogwarts! This year we only have ex-students who want to finish their education after the events of what happened. They were hard and dark times but now is time for new beginnings. I will be your new Headmaster. I wish you luck in all your studies this year!" McGonagall said and dinner began.
After dinner everyone went to spend their afternoon hanging out since today they still didn't have classes. It will take some time getting used to but everyone was glad to be back to their new casual normal. They will finish their studies and continue in the carriers they wanted. Rarity in designing new wands and coming up with trends while keeping fashion as her hobby. Applejack and Rainbow Dash going on adventures together as Curse breakers while also living on the human world farm. Pinkie will be a doctor along with her sister Maud. Sunset will also go on curse breaking adventures and later she will definitely make a great pair with Twilight defeating dark wizards and removing curses around in many mysteries. Fluttershy taking care of plants and doing what she loves the most while Discord helping bring equality. They all have come so far from where they started.
Everyone will stay in contact and decided that after school they will continue to meet at least once a month all together no matter how far their paths take them.
Twilight has made many mistakes but she managed to fix them before her loved ones got hurt. She learnt a lot from everything about herself, about others, but most importantly she learnt that magic of friendship and love is the most powerful thing that no dark wizard can destroy.
She will hand her Element of Harmony to Sunset to keep it safe while she serves her detention. But now it was time to head to new adventures and who knows what yet awaits them in this year and later in the future.
The only thing they know is that the magic of friendship will follow them all around the world because friendship and love are for forever and always.
