This story is a sequel to Magical Mysteries of Hogwarts: Darkness Rises

Sorrow. Cold. Darkness.
It has been 5 years since Twilight united with one of the most powerful dark wizards of all time and took over the world. She is the ruler now, has all the magic she wanted but at what cost?

The Rebellion lead by Sunset Shimmer has been rising. They still didn't have any luck approaching Sunset's friend turned girlfriend turned ex turned girlfriend turned enemy but with a little bit of luck and help from the people they hate the most maybe they still have a chance at succeeding. It's either that or darkness forever.

Will the magic of friendship be enough this time? Or are our heros doomed forever? Find out in final continuation of this fanfic series!

She has turned Hogwarts into the castle she lives and rules in. Gained even more followers and people trying to get to her good side like Capper did.

Oh my! 😰

And will the magic of friendship even be enough this time? Or are they doomed forever?

Only you girls know that answer and only you can solve it.

At the beginning there were only Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy and Sunset Shimmer but over time some others, like their former professor Snape, professor McGonagall and Hagrid, joined too. No one could believe what happened to headmaster Dumbledore.

It's pretty obvious if you ask me.

However, some people from their school ran away to hide. Trixie was never heard from again, Zephyr let Fluttershy know he is going back home, Applejack didn't allow anyone from her family to come help, Pinkie's sister Maud joined but her other sisters stayed far away from the fight, Rainbow's parents just didn't care and Rarity tried to contact Capper but with no luck. It has been five years like this. Everyone was already losing hope.

It must be a lot to go through.

"As much as I trust the judgment of the leader of this group I have to point out, what if he is just trying to destroy us for the One Who Shall Not Be Named?" Snape asked suspiciously.

He's got a point.

"Some that are still in Azkaban to this day and want revenge on Twilight."

You can't be serious snape!

So Sunset is going with the obvious choice. Asking Rarity to contact Capper and help them break inside so she can talk to Twilight and get her to help them take down Nightmare Moon.

That's gonna be a tough one. 😬

"I know, sugarcube! Me too! But I am sure things will be over soon! We will take her down and everything will be okay!" Applejack tried to stay positive and reassured her girlfriend.

Let's hope so. 🤞

"I know... waiting really is hard..." she said as she sat down and Rainbow joined her.

Tell me about it.

"It hurts, doesn't it?" Snape asked. "Trying to get over old love."

Yeah. It really is.

"Love sometimes makes us do stupid thingd, it makes us go to great lenghts! But one can't help it," Capper whispered to himself as he was finishing writing a note to Rarity of when they can come to the Hogwarts castle. "But sadly betrayal is like my middle name by now." He turned to Twilight and Discord standing at the doorway listening to him.

I knew we couldn't trust him!!!

No matter what Capper decides, he still had only one job to do when they come and that is to make sure he saves his friends and Fluttershy.

I still got my eye on you bastard! 😠

"Think about bigger picture!" Sunset was under a lot of stress. "And she will change her mind, you all will see!"

Like that's gonna happen.

"We are doomed," Snape said to himself.

That i can agree upon snape. 😒

"Called it!" Snape eyerolled as Rarity cried.

Yep, saw it coming a mile away!

OH NO! "It is..." Sunset said quietly. There was no point in denying it. They didn't have anyone to ask for help, no one who would actually join them. It had to be someone who hates Twilight, someone just waiting for a revenge on all of them. Sunset didn't even want to think about it but Fluttershy was right, it is the only way. If they are going to save their friends and the world, they will need to go get help from Shinning Armor, Cadence, Stacy and Mel.

It might not be the best option but they've got no choice.

"Yes! I am glad someone listened it all," Sunset was frustrated again. She was trying so hard but who knows if this will even work.

Only 1 way to find out.

No, Sunset won't think about Twilight or her brother's teasing. She will just ignore the comments.

"Ah, good one! This is the best joke you ever said, Sunset!" Discord was barely catching breath.

It wasn't a joke!

When everyone realized Sunset was serious, they stopped laughing. "Ah shit, you are being serious," Discord broke the silence and stated the obvious.

She was the entire time.

"Isn't it obvious?" Candence smiled, "we fight for who gets to take over the world!"

No, that was never the plan!!!

"I think not?" Sunset thought it through. "It will probably be our decision."

Yeah, probably.

"You really are the kindest person I have ever met!" Discord hugged Fluttershy.

She is the element of kindness.

"Finally you came!" Nightmare Moon was thrilled as she noticed them enter trying to sneak in. Twilight was standing next to her and Capper stood nearby too. He still looked really guilty. "Oh you brought backup? Told you Twilight that they hate you and just want to take you down!"

That is nothing but lies!

"You will pay for that!" Twilight screamed as she quickly grabbed her wand and casted Bombarda at roof above Cadence. Roof exploded and pieces fell right on her.

Is she dead now or did she survive/is still conscious?

"No! Discord!" she screamed and got up to fight Nightmare but she wasn't successful. Didn't even have a chance to cast anything before she was hit with the same spell Discord has been.

No!

Rarity tried to fight. She did her best but she was never skilled fighter. Just as she was about to be hit Capper jumped in front of her and saved her. "I knew you were on our side!" Rarity cried.

Something tells me he still isn't.

Applejack started smiling, "maybe we can go into past and save them all! It's not too late!"

It's too risky if you ask me.

Rainbow went to Sunset and Snape while Applejack went to Rarity. Rainbow managed to stop Sunset from getting hit but Snape was then hit with spell that backfired from Fluttershy and Discord also fighting Nightmare. Can't anything work for Rainbow here? Just as she saves one person another gets hurt.

At this point, they're screwed. 😓

"Don't say that! What do you mean by 'oh no'?" Applejack panicked and raised her head to see Rainbow holding the broken time turner. Shit! No going back to the past now.

"I guess," Sunset said. She wasn't sure what Twilight meant. Then Twilight quickly hit her arm, moved it so wand wasn't pointed at her anymore and held out her wand that was pointed at... Sunset?

Well, good to see the pep talk worked, slightly...

"Let's first go grab a doctor to help Rainbow and Mel if she can make it, and then go to the Ministry of Magic to deal with it all!" Sunset said as they went to pick stuff up and go take bad guys to Azkaban.

Huh, we sure are getting way closer than I thought.

Thanks for feedback. I assume it is not everyone's cup of tea. I am not native english and I write this just for fun. Also prefer stories with more dialogue and less description and I think that was very noticable hahah

Well some of the grammar is bad, but it was the time travel thing, at first it was good idea but repeat I don't know how many times ina row....was.... I just stop bothering to read and skip to the end.

Find the ending so cringy, Sunset giving Twilight a second chance and lack of details and how it goes.

However, Rarity was very hurt that Capper has betrayed them once again. She really believed he could be on their side. I guess he was just choosing whichever side fitted him best at that moment but she was still very grateful that he tried to save her life.

I still don't think we should worry about him. 😒

Twilight and other followers of Nightmare Moon faced trials by Ministry of Magic. After many courts, Twilight was decided to only be put to Azkaban for few years since her friends stood up for her and explained how she after all saved the Wizarding World. She will be allowed to go to Hogwarts for a year to finish studies and then needs to come back to Azkaban to serve her punishment. After that she is free to go.

As ashamed it sounds she still needs to serve time for her crimes.

It felt strange. It was a new beginning and a chance for everyone to have a normal life but it still felt like an end of something. Things will never be the same after all of this.

Yeah, sadly...

They exited the tower and went to Dinning Hall for new headmaster's McGonagall's speech.

Wait, so did dumbedore die in this version?

After dinner everyone went to spend their afternoon hanging out since today they still didn't have classes. It will take some time getting used to but everyone was glad to be back to their new casual normal. They will finish their studies and continue in the carriers they wanted. Rarity in designing new wands and coming up with trends while keeping fashion as her hobby. Applejack and Rainbow Dash going on adventures together as Curse breakers while also living on the human world farm. Pinkie will be a doctor along with her sister Maud. Sunset will also go on curse breaking adventures and later she will definitely make a great pair with Twilight defeating dark wizards and removing curses around in many mysteries. Fluttershy taking care of plants and doing what she loves the most while Discord helping bring equality. They all have come so far from where they started.

Huh, thought Fluttershy would do something animal related.

While the ending did feel a bit rushed I still enjoyed the story, though it is ashamed this is the last one but it was a fun ride when it lasted.
