This story is a sequel to Alexandrite: Ace Attorney: The Harbinger of a Turnabout

Alexandrite—Crystal Pony and Defense Attorney—works at Escutcheon, Buckler, and Aegis: the most renowned law firm in Manehattan. While perhaps not the center of attention when it comes to large, earth-shaking, world-changing events, you certainly do get some characters coming through the door.

Crystal Clear was having a perfectly normal day... Then a tyrant fell asleep on her floor.

Equestrians – travellers, celebrities, even national heroes – are being kidnapped. No one knows who is behind this, how they’re trumping security measures so easily, or why they’re doing it at all.

As part of an awareness campaign, fundraiser, and defiant statement, Rarity orchestrates a fashion show in Manehattan’s largest public park, aided by Applejack and several close contacts. Unfortunately, her statement proves a little too defiant; she and several others soon become the latest victims of the spree.

Even worse, that’s merely the beginning of their misery. For they soon learn the who, how, and why behind the crimes.

Another Crystal Empire exists, far darker and grimmer than anything up north. Fuelled by crystalline technology, esoteric forces which they cannot possibly understand move them about like pawns in a game. And “game” is precisely the point, for they soon learn that the victims are nothing but slaves for entertainment. Literally.

Without training, warning, or outside help, they are forced to compete in Magical Deathmatch, the most hellish fighting tournament ever devised, run by a demented sadist and designed for the sake of a broken society.

It’s not all doom and gloom, however. A rescue party is on the way. Allies turn up in the most unexpected of places. Whatever else happens, they have their wits and their strengths.

Most of all, they have each other. Rarity and Applejack, Applejack and Rarity. That should even the odds somewhat.

Rating: General reading, but some fight scenes will be more intense than those depicted in the show.

The Doctor, Kendrick, Jack, Twilight Sparkle, Clyde and Clive, Solare of Astora, The Lone Wanderer, Heavy, Reznov, Mason, Wolfram, Ceaser, and Blue Leader. Hero, Villain, Warrior, Civilian, we don’t care what they were.

The Combine establish themselves, and hunt us down. The Emperor of them a being of unknowable power, their technology greater than anything Equestria was ready for.

We will make our stand against any odds. We can only hope people will hold themselves together long enough so we do not fall.

A thousand years ago, the Crystal Empire was banished to another plane of reality, frozen in time. With its disappearance, many lives were affected and changed. Time in the Empire has now resumed, returning in sync with the rest of Equestria.

A year has come and gone since its return. Much and little has transpired since it vanished into thin air, and the clock is ticking once again for it's denizens. However, not all scars have mended. Many lives are now intertwined in ways unseen by the naked eye, but they stand the test of time.

The Alternate Universe tag is only present because the history is only slightly altered (a characters reasoning for taking a particular path)
