Today is Father's Day, a most joyous occasion for Discord to spend time with Celestia and Luna. Even though technically he isn't their father. Kind of. It's complicated.

He hides in the shadows, he causes nightmares and pain.
He is always just out of sight, yet he leaves no one unscathed.
And today... just like every other day we search. And no matter what, we will find it.
And he shall be brought to justice.

As the Tantabus settles into its life, its horizons keep expanding, forever revealing more of the world and of ponies. There's always new things to learn. New dreams to spice up. New nightmares to beat down. New ponies to help. New ponies to annoy.

Once every month, a mare appears on a remote beach, far from her home. She plays, she reads, she sleeps, and she wastes precious, precious time.

With nothing happening, no world-conquering villains or Crystal Hearts being shattered and so on, Twilight is bored. She has nothing to do, plainly. But while in the middle of a drab reading session, she notices something doesn't feel right. Not to her, but in the night sky. She can't see it, but she can sense it. Something not from this world has entered her world, and it could be the first ever message from aliens.

And perhaps those aliens are trying to say hello.
