"Rule number one." Pipp put on an uncharacteristically serious face. "Your fans cannot be your friends."
Sunny blinked. "What?"
"Oh here we go," Zipp muttered to herself.

Discord is sorry. Fluttershy is sorry. They're both sorry, and they both need to talk about this, but feelings are hard sometimes.
Takes place immediately following "Twilight's Kingdom". Yes, I know I'm quite late to the party with this...
Spring Twister is a Pegasus who's never had great luck, being flightless from birth, with life never really going up from there. It takes a lot of empathy and patience to raise a disabled foal living in the clouds, two traits her parents sorely lacked. The rest of the world has never been too great to her either.
Now she's 33 and stuck in the rut life put her in. It's not glamorous, and things aren’t going so great, but also not going terrible. They’re just going. It’s a slow night at the shop, not much to do, so Spring just started writing.
This is mostly for herself, but Spring would also really love it if somepony could finally understand her. No one’s ever really bothered to know her, and she hasn’t exactly tried to share. Maybe this is a manifestation of that frustration, unpacking the realities and emotions that come from a broken body and toxic home.
The result is an awkward, honest attempt at personal introspection from a troubled mare, recounting her life and what made her who she is today. Nopony worth all that much, nopony that interesting, or at least that’s how she sees herself. Still, everypony deserves to be understood, right? Even if the world has convinced her otherwise.
Join Spring's journey of self-exploration in what she's (not) calling her autobiography.
After the events of Anon-A-Miss, Sunset is alone. Her friends don't trust her. Her own friends, who she thought loved her, so easily cut her off. She realizes the she is once again living her worst fear; being alone. With this comes feelings that Sunset had thought left her long, long ago.
(TRIGGERS: Suicidal thoughts and attempt, mentions of self harm, being alone.)
THIS STORY IS BEING REWRITTEN. PLEASE LOOK AT MY PROFILE FOR THE NEW VERSION, I WILL NOT BE UPDATING THIS ONE!
Sunset Shimmer had been thinking about her place in this foreign world. She led a great life and had the best friends she could imagine. She was happy. Or was she? Six months after the Friendship Games, Sunset wasn't so sure about her place in this world anymore.
A little story inspired by the cut song from Friendship Games.
Shout-outs to my friend Piperita who helped me revise the story a bit.
Tragedy shatters Sunset's world. Laced with guilt over what happened, she cuts herself off from her friends. A month almost passes by before she forces herself to leave her apartment in a halfhearted attempt at regaining some normalcy from the broken shards of her life. However, recovery isn't an easy process, and with each day that passes, her pain only intensifies. But as long as she puts on a smile and tells people what they want to hear, it doesn't matter whether or not she gets better. So long as no one else suffers because of her, that's all that's important, right?
The sequel: Dandelion Wishes
Ladies do not avoid their problems. If a lady finds herself facing down a lonely Hearts & Hooves Day, she should smile and gracefully accept her lot in life, patiently trusting that more enjoyable times are on the way.
A lady certainly doesn't chase a stranger down the dreary streets of Canterlot, even if that stranger does turn out to be the Madam Inspector of the Equestrian Games. Loneliness and creative distress are no excuse for wild behavior. A lady should know better.
But Rarity has never been just a lady.

By simple biological necessity, one can conclude that Scootaloo has parents. And, indeed, there is a couple in Ponyville who claim her as their own. But they adopted her long ago. The documents are in Town Hall for anypony who cares to look. So, whence came the winged Crusader?
To learn that, we must go not just to another time, but another place, for Scootaloo is as orphaned as an orphan can be.
Written for F*** THIS PROMPT! 11. Prompt: Scootaloo is an orphan.
