Meteorite is a self-insert whose story began in 2011. However her story was never finished, leaving her to her own efforts to cope with the new but familiar world she found herself in.

Years later, her author thought it'd be nice to get back in touch with her creation, maybe do something nice for her, but things start to go off-script when the author is seen by somepony other than Meteorite...

Miracles bloom in the over-fertilized last few weeks of the summer season, and nothing is so full of potential as foals who have not yet found their own futures. Suspended, between past and future. Suspended, before the moment of realization.

When Celestia asks Sunset to stop asking about the Crystal Mirror, she actually listens. But the compliance is only surface level, and Sunset remains convinced that her mentor is holding her back from her true potential. The distance between them grows as Sunset retreats into her research, stopping her visits to Celestia completely and growing increasingly isolated.

Weeks pass until Celestia finally recognizes that her efforts to protect Sunset are having the opposite effect as intended. She decides a change of approach is needed before the fragile trust between them is shattered forever. She summons Sunset to her throne room for the first honest conversation they've had in months. Honesty alone won't be enough to mend their damaged relationship, but it's a start...

An alternate version of "Newbie Dash" where Rainbow Dash leaves the Wonderbolts instead of messing up the Air Show. Upon finding Rainbow's resignation letter and discarded Wonderbolt uniform with jacket by Soarin, Spitfire goes and confronts the AWOL Rainbow Dash.

Author's Note: I know Rainbow's not a quitter. But she came in close in episodes like "Testing 1,2,3) and (Rarity Investigates).
