Got another new entry into the Not-A-Contest from Roxylalolcat!
This one takes a slightly different approach than most of the others have.
This one’s got a proper unicorn Magus.

You know, I was thinking of announcing something, but between the Sunflower contest, the Optimalverse contest, and this thing, we're a bit oversaturated right now. (Not the Godhead Shimmer kind.)
Another entry to the Not-a-Contest!* To quote the story description: “Sam Winston is a small-town K-9 patrolman faced with some unexplained, and potentially lethal, events. Fortunately, he has backup... a very unusual kind of backup...”

Howdy hoo. Today I'm going to wrap up the entries for the 'Peace' category with Fit for a King, and then move onto a story which struck me as a promising competitor story, The Seneschal. Both I thought were pretty good, and both for different reasons!
SirNotAppearingInThisFic pointed out an interesting pattern I hadn’t noticed before. For the past four years, I’ve hosted a contest in September.
No reason to stop now!
That’s three in a row! Some of y’all are being productive over the holidays, and the Admiral approves
We've got another Not-A-Contest fic here, this one by BlueBook. You might remember his previous entry, Team Boat (if you don't, you should read that one, too). It's got things I love in it--obscure or forgotten tech, actual facts, and boats!
Hey, we’ve got another entry in the not-a-contest! Written by none other than AlwaysDressesInStyle, and pre-read by some guy.
Meant to post this a few days ago, but there's still plenty of time on this.
It's April, which means it's time for the annual Horror Write-Off I run every year, Nightmare Night in April!
The event is simple: in order to encourage more horror writing, I hold a write-off event in which anyone can submit a Horror Story, to be compiled by April 30th, the opposite day of the year from Halloween!
Just in time for Everfree Northwest, here comes another entry into the Not-A-Contest!
By the one and only Grand_Moff_Pony!
Hello!
The Pony to Human TF Contest is down to just about a week left. As a reminder, we have 8 possible cash rewards to win, for a total prize pool of $500. So get your entries in, because the odds of winning something are quite good.
Good luck!
Hiya, lovely peeps!
How have ya’ll been? It has been a while since I’ve been really active here on the site. As such, I figured it is time to update you all on where I currently stand, site-wise. There are a lot of news, so let’s enumerate them.
News #1: An Updated Library
As Time Goes By is my first foray back into comedy after 'Snug as a bug', 8-9 months of seperation doesn't seem like a lot but it certainly feels an eternity!
The idea of this came from the SunsetxVillains competition requiring a native Equestrian partner for ol' Shimmy. While I had a few ideas floating around (Sombra as a 'Chamber of Secrets' style pen pal to a pre-mirror Sunset held some possibilities I wont lie), I kept gravitating back to Blueblood.
Don’t be fooled by the title, I’m not running anything of my own.
Oh wow, with everything that's been going on, I almost forgot about this!
Every year, in the leadup to April 1st, I try to organize an effort to get stupid and insane stories on the front page for April Fools Day: Operation: Crackfic-Storm!.
It's March again, and every year, in the leadup to April 1st, I try to organize an effort to get stupid and insane stories on the front page for April Fools Day: Operation: Crackfic-Storm!.
Like all fans of...well any media, I'm a shipper. I also like minor characters and crack ships, this gives me a lot of options. One minor character I rather like is Micro Chips, the guy's a cliche nerd straight from a 1980s high school movie and built a death bot, what's not to like? Despite him being a minor character he's had just enough scenes to get a vague outline of his character, especially some interesting characterisation. Take his ending in "All the worlds off stage", where he commits
Yup. I'm a sucker for a writing contests, especially if the premise is novel enough. Check out Estee's Swift Selections Contest.
