I would really like to see Ponemurdered represented in some way... If not a chapter, maybe just an incoherent chaotic blip in the multiverse. It doesn't fit your requirements for good world building, but it might be fun nonetheless!

Surprised nobody has said this, but I'd like to recommend the trilogy of:
Shipping and Handling / Hocus Pocus / Magic of the Heart by Pegasus Rescue Brigade!
All three fics are full of loveable characters and really fun storytelling (with a lot of exploration of magic in the later two, and lots of great dark magic stuff going on!)
I can't recommend these enough, Magic of the Heart hasn't been getting nearly as much attention as the other two (partially because there was a 3 year gap between them) and they're all amazing
