For the most part, the children of the Bearers of The Elements of Harmony lived sheltered, but fulfilling childhoods. Sure, they might of had their occasion quarrel between their parents or each other, but in the end their relationships remained unbreakable.

But, when their parents go missing, can this rag-tag group of youngsters save their parents and Equestria in a far away land?

Just another peaceful day in Manehattan or it was until ponies started eating ponies. The name's Winged Spirit and I live with my younger sister Daring Do. Even if she isn't here most of the time, but want can I do. There is nine of us alive and I'm not sure we can make it, but a mares gotta try, right?

Nightmare Moon has been defeated, destroyed by the Elements of Harmony. Still some part of her survives, split apart from Princess Luna and trapped in a world of dreams. Now she searches for a way to return to Equestria, to live again and reclaim her throne. However, the dream world is a confusing place with many strange beings who may help or hinder.

(note: "Crossover" with some characters from Sandman comics, but you don't need to be familiar with them.)

A curious foal and an indulgent mother, armed with the best candy-collecting buckets they can find, go out for Nightmare Night.

As they make their rounds, a question occurs to the foal about his favorite Princess.

His mother answers to the best of her abilities.

One day when it is raining heavily outside, Twilight decides to raid Spike's comic book collection and play a while as the Power Pony, the Masked Matterhorn.

She finds herself in the story of how one of the most dangerous villains in their Rogues Gallery came to be. Spurred on by Matterhorn and molded by the Mane-iac, this new villain is unlike anypony Twilight knows how they came to be opposing her.

With her crown stolen, Princess Twilight Sparkle must retrieve it by entering a magic mirror, that acts as a gateway to another world. Along with Spike, she ends up in the Kung Fu Panda universe! Little does she realize that her path will cross with the Dragon Warrior, the Furious Five, alternate versions of her Ponyville friends, and an unexpected ally, as they all must find a way to save both worlds from a great threat.

When Spike drags Twilight out to Sugarcube Corner for something he claims is "hilarious​", she discovers that she is the main character of a romance novel... along with Princess Celestia.

Twilight is not happy about this.
