"It's not easy being in love." It's a common phrase you'll hear anypony in love say. But when you're an Element of Harmony, love is even harder. Why is it so hard to realise something that's been there for years? Why is it so easy for one to say what one feels to everypony but the one you love? Why is it that nothing can be 'Normal' for Applejack and Rainbow Dash?

This is my submition to the Appledash Fanfic contest of the Appledash group.

Applejack has always been a patient pony; it came with being a farmer. So when the farmer found herself falling head over hooves in love with her best friend, she was content to wait for the right moment to tell Rainbow Dash how she felt.

But now time is running out, and Applejack is left scrambling not to find the perfect time, but any time at all.

After receiving two tickets to Dodge Junction's Founder's Day Festival, Applejack invites Rainbow Dash to join her in what looks to be a great time full of fun, games, rides, food, and more. But hidden behind all this is an opportunity for Applejack to finally tell Dash how she feels about her. Can the farmpony manage to confess between all the excitement?

After Rainbow Dash left to become a Wonderbolt Applejack finds herself working too hard and slipping into depression in the absents of her marefriend. After a hard year an near catastrophic breakup Applejack and Rainbow Dash struggle to pick up the pieces while the girls deal with their own relationships.

Part 5 in the 'Rainbow' series. Sequel to The Rainbow Arc
With Ponyville having been completely abandoned, Rainbow Dash finally loses hope that Applejack will return to her. Setting out to Canterlot she finally begins her search for the lost pony. During her search, an unnatural grief continues to plague her mind. Meanwhile Scootaloo makes an accidental discovery during her goodbyes that leads to her own journey to track down Rainbow Dash.

Part four in the 'Rainbow' series. Sequel to 'A Fractured Rainbow'
After six months have passed, Rainbow Dash wants to adopt a filly. After a careful night of consideration Applejack finally agrees. Their new adopted filly befriends the cutie mark crusaders. Meanwhile unpaid pills are continuing to pile up, despite warnings Applejack decides to try and win money in the Canterlot Derby.

Part three in the 'Rainbow' series. Sequel to "The Rainbow Grows"
While Rainbow Dash is off preparing for the big event. Applejack finds herself alone at home most of the passing days and becomes increasingly lonely. In a moment of weakness she makes a huge mistake. When she goes to try and make up for it, Rainbow Dash is nowhere to be found.

The second in the 'Rainbow' series, Sequel to A Rainbow Forms.
Heart's Warming Eve is approaching and Rainbow Dash has something special planned for Applejack. Now staying at Sweet Apple Acres the two ponies try to keep their romance hidden away from Ponyville. However some pony does discover their secret and soon after they find themselves being pried apart from one another.

Part one in the series.
Rainbow Dash has been wanting to tell Applejack her true feelings for her but is to afraid to do so. Finally mustering up the courage, Rainbow Dash goes to tell Applejack how she feels but finds herself being avoided. Finally catching up to Applejack and tell her the truth. Shortly after a simple misunderstandings tears the two apart.

Family. To the ponies of Sweet Apple Acres, to Applejack, there's nothing more important. But what does it mean to be family? Applejack's parents are finally returning home, but will it be the reunion she's always dreamed, will she finally receive answers to questions that have plagued her since youth? Or will her dream become a nightmare, fueled by fear of what those answers might be?
