“Ah won’t leave ya. Never.” she exclaimed sharply. “Ah’ll always come home. I promise.”
“Okay.” Big Mac reached out to her one last time. “Ah love you.”
“Ah love ya too.”

A promise uttered one evening. The fear and terror of a single fight. The sorrow and pain afterwards.

Applejack has always come home. What does it mean when she doesn't?

Rainbow Dash had grown used to hiding her feelings for her friend until one dream shakes her to the core. Now she is up all hours of the night, unable to eat, sleep or even fly right. However, her pain is nothing compared to the oncoming threat to Ponyville. A griphon regime is rising, vengeance of years of oppression in their eyes. An AppleDash story with a side of chaos.

Applejack was always fine being an Earth pony. No, she was proud of who she was, and had never wanted anything more. Yet lately her two marefriends, Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash, have been flying more and more, leaving her behind to watch. It started out as nothing but a simple urge to join them, until she heard of way that could be possible.
