While Pinkie is my favorite character and I like her being in stories I almost wonder why you put her in. She was not really necessary for the plot (tracks in the mud could have been found by anybody) and after the fight she literally doesn't do anything (heck at the moment did you even mention that she was alright?) nor does she do much in the fight outside of a minor distraction. I think if you were going to do any sort of revisions I think you would need to add more to what Pinkie says and does so that she adds to the story's impact. Pinkie can be used to give Applejack insight or to help her solve some problems such as the unresolved issue of Applejack feeling lonely while Rainbow Dash does what she needs to do. She could also be useful in comforting Rainbow Dash and I could certainly see her as Dashie's best mare (just to add some more fun details to your wedding). At the very least you NEED to give some indication of what happens to her after Dash wakes up so she doesn't just disappear. The other option is to just remove her from the story though I like the idea of Pinkie helping I just think she needs to do more to support Dash and Jack. Notice I do not say that about Twilight as she HAS a purpose in this story even if it is a small part (she gets Apple Jack to go find Rainbow Dash) and involves less screen time and lines than Pinkie. The part you do understand is how to use Pinkie to add levity to their interactions and play off each other but this story could really use the character development that Pinkie could provide Applejack in addition to the jokes.
I also think you missed a chance to make use of the child of the villain character. That character is related to the villain and yet you do not use that at all. Was the character in league with the father or was it a coincidence? Does that character support the father? I think you missed an opportunity there.
