When the call of the Cutie Map beckons our heroes to embark on a life-altering quest, they find themselves traversing the perilous Crystal Mountains. Twilight and her steadfast companions brave the trials of uncharted territories beyond Equestria's borders to confront the enigmatic friendship problem marked by the Cutie Map, nestled in the distant Kingdom of Yakyakistan. But simplicity is a luxury they can ill afford, for Starlight Glimmer weaves a vengeful web, rallying her allies as she shadows Twilight Sparkle across the breadth of Equestria.

It's almost unheard of for a mission to wrap up that quickly, and nopony's scheduled to retrieve them for three days. Which means Twilight and Applejack can use just that time in the griffon nation to -- play tourist! Check out some of the local attractions! A solar storm is raging across Equestria, the weather is going wild and magic is going haywire everywhere...
...and three fillies are sneaking through the most recent addition to ponyville, Twilight's crystal castle, looking for cool artifacts.

Unluckily for them, they find what they're looking for.

This is my third story, and second halo crossover, on here and I'm going to attempt writing it in first person, criticism is appreciated since first person is hard.
