Twilight finds a filly Earth Pony hidden in her basement, reading magic tomes and eating her sandwiches. The little one claims her special talent is related to magic and that pony society had no place for one such as her.

Twilight is awestruck by the claim. Is pony society not welcoming of the differences?

Rainbow Dash isn't bitter about the whole Mare-Do-Well incident. Or at least that's what she tells herself. Luna has magicked a book into Twilight's library. Her and her friends read it to discover that it's in fact a book about a kingdom that's been lost for three thousand years. Cadance then sends a message saying that there's been a disturbance. Coincidence? Highly unlikely.

I'm sorry. I didn't mean for any of this to happen. All the panic, all the chaos, all the ponies hurt. I-I'm truly sorry. The mask was too much for me to handle. I don't know if you'll ever forgive me. If you want, you can read my journals. Maybe they can offer more of an explanation. Maybe then my story will be told and the enigma that is me will be solved.
