Part 34-36 in the Maybe series... Our character is thrust into a race against time with a newly returned evil with a vengeance... A pain, fear driven day now lays in front of our character as his love and will is put to the ultimate test. thus far.

I guess a couple of thinks had made your readers run away screaming... lol...
At first: to read that this is, suddenly, the last part of your story series.
Than to have this confirmed by reading "Epilogue III"
and than that you suddenly acknowledge the Canon timeline and let take a Canon event happen, even if altered to match your storyline.
You should give FAR more hints about what could or would happen in the future, like I have written in the PM ^^"
And do not just reach the end or something like that just without any warning, no one likes to read a story and it suddenly ends that can ruin your entire story,.
Its like playing a, at least good, Game (so it can't be a EA Game *sinkers*) and the entire time it is very interesting and fun to play and it just ends without any warning nor crescendo.
Crescendo: big fight or last super difficult challenge or something like that.
And what happened to Chrysie? Was she really real? How did she got there? Why didn't Shining took Cadences place at least for a couple of hours so she could rest, (you never mentioned that Shinings horn was blocked like in the Canon Episode

But as a "first time" it was expectable. You just need practice in that kind of stuff ^^.
So and to make this an "All Chapters Summary" The last three chapters where just... confusing, the stories integrity just become... well become ... it just vanished, like the last three chapters where never checked of integrity, there where a couple of moments where you, as the reader, just had no idea what really happened right now.
In the moment when 'You' fall down the stairs this "confusion" begone.
The moment 'You' fall down the stairs had some sort of "hole" in it, there just was something missing.
The entire thing with the door was also very confusing, it felt somehow very different from the Episode moment.
And was also just strange... somehow...
Why was there Chrysie and how did she got there?
The Action part was good work, thats for sure, but sadly because everything around it was so strangely confusing it was overshadowed by it.
And the "Lets Merry" part was just to fast, it can be accepted if they first recover from the shock, because, well, this entire event was quite some "foretaste of hell" MAybe one more bigger scene after the entire "defeat of king sombrero" *caught* pure guy... and a real, longer confession without the looming thread of being killed.
To set the Confession at this spot was Action movie material but really not matching... REALLY not matching for your story ^^"

re-read the last three chapters and i think i understand now,
but there's really no indication of what was happening, especially the part with the stone prison.
(keep in mind that i didn't see the relevant episode yet) due to "you" not leaving Twilight and instead professing love and unity, the prison and the other physical manifestations of Sombra's power evaporated(along with Sombra himself? it's all quite vague and fast while there's no chapter to explain what really happened)
go back over, those who're willing to re-read will, those who don't won't.
