Fluttershy loves animals. Her special talent is taking care of them, after all. However, there is a darker side that her friends rarely see. Ever so often, a creature under her care suffers and not even she can fix it. She has grown accustomed to doing what needs to be done in those situations.

Perhaps a little too accustomed. When a tragedy hits close to home for her, she realizes that there are others out there suffering, and she can help them.

She is the Element of Kindness after all.

While visiting Ponyville, Shining Armor meets Big Macintosh and the two quickly hit it off as best buds. However, they soon find that Twilight and Applejack may be canoodling with suspicious stallions of the town. Ever alert, the two buffoons big brothers work together to protect their little sisses from the male persuasion. The result can only be hilarity.

"I cry. I weep. Will I ever see light again? It is...[sic.] tragic. I can't remember the glowing stars, I can't remember the sunshine, I can't remember the light of friendship or companionship. All I remember is Tartarus, the place of the damned. I remember only night, I remember only death. Is this what it is like in death's other kingdom? Have the eyes guided me here to stay for eternity? So it's finally happened. After being kicked in the shin by Celestia, Discord is officially dying. Now Celestia wants to know if he has any last requests before he goes.

It's been two and a half years since Twilight Sparkle returned from the other world, leaving Sunset Shimmer in the company of the alternate group of friends she made. However, not all has gone well for her one-time rival in the other world. On the night of the 30th moon, Sunset emerges from the mirror and uses an ancient relic to switch their bodies. Alone in the care of Sunset's overbearing ex-tutor, Twilight uncovers the forgotten past that drove her rival to such desperation, while back in Ponyville, Sunset struggles with Twilight's lifestyle clashing with her own dreams.
