In the midst of doing a favor for Ember in the dragon lands, Spike tells Rarity about his not-so-secret feelings. Rarity responds with a secret of her own, one that she's guarded for most of her life. They picked the wrong day, and the wrong kingdom, for a quiet heart-to-heart.

Spike and Rarity have been together for some time now. He's grown into quite the mature dragon and Rarity finally realized her feelings for the purple drake. He's got a very special picnic/night planned for his lady, involving a very important question to ask...the most important of their lives.

Many years ago, shortly before the birth of one Twilight Sparkle, Celestia, ruler of Equestria, found a small item in a forest. That item? An egg. Around the same time, in another place, Celestia, ruler of Draconica found something small in a forest. That thing? A pony.

A magic potion, some small half-truths and putting his best hoof forward is all it will take...

...provided Spike doesn't lose himself in the process. For the young dragon will discover that not all masks are easily removed.

As magic works upon his body and the facade becomes too real, Spike will find himself at war with himself.

This is my entry into a Horror story challenge on Equestria Amino. Wrote it in about an hour and a half during School today. Hope ya enjoy!

Alone and far from Equestria lies a dragon; before him, a photograph of him and a mare he once loved. He remembers the moments they spent together, the moments that made him who he is, the moments that explain how he got here, and the moments that tell him where he is going.

A massage is just a massage, isn’t it? Apparently not when Spike is involved. Somehow finding a book on pony massage specifically for handed creatures like himself is fated to end the way that most of his adventures do: with the untimely destruction of Ponyville.
Unless Rarity can help, of course.
