Spike asks Rarity a question she is 100% unprepared to answer.

Takes place several years into the future. Established Spike/Rarity. Could be considered a oneshot follow-up to either “Of Age” or “How to Woo Your Lady in 9 Easy Steps”, but requires no background knowledge of my previous fics.

Spike and Twilight have been invited by Princess Celestia for an upcoming garden party at her castle in Canterlot. However, Spike does not have anything to wear to the party. Spike finds an book on DIY suit making and decides to make a suit, but will he succeed?

Some Rarity and Spike shipping may be included.

Rarity has a rather unladylike moment of panic when she thinks Spike has moved away without telling her. Twilight is amused.

Short oneshot that just sort of fell out of my head this evening.

The "Nightmare Rarity" arc in the comics has just ended and Ponyville must recover. Even more than the others, the Elements of Harmony must recover. And most of all Rarity, the Nightmare's main victim. But Spike faced his own ordeal, so after a few days rest he goes to visit Rarity where the two proceed to have a private chat. Rarity expresses her gratitude and apologizes for the vulnerabilities that allowed the Nightmare to use her. And then...the two discuss their own future. Rarity has made a decision. And as terrified as he is of rejection, Spike's long unspoken question is about to be answered.

The title refers to Spike's temptation in the comic, not to anything that happens in this story.

Spike would sneak out of the library every night and sit on the bridge between the town and the Everfree, just to think. More often then not, the night ends with him wallowing in self pity over the mare he love's. One night however, Rarity finds her 'Little Spikey Wikey' and she realises something of great value.

Spike has eaten the book of Inspiration Manifestation. The next day he accidentally casts its dark spell on himself.

Most days are ordinary until we make them special.

Spike loves Rarity; everypony knows that. But why? Is it just because he finds her the most beautiful pony he's ever seen? Is it her mane? Or is it something deeper, beyond just her looks? This question haunts Rarity, and after a certain incident strikes she's determined to find out the answer.

Got the idea for this after watching the scene from The Cutie Pox where Twilight's mane turns to Rarity's. Cover art is The Kiss by Jack-a-Lynn. You should definitely check his other work out!

After serving a major head injury, Spike has forgotten everything about the recent years. Now it is up to Rarity and the rest of his family to help him get it back.
