Jordan Hughes aged 18 and Kieran Richardson Aged 23 these are the British marines who had volunteered to go on the first mission for the brand new Military helicopter to clear out the largest organised Taliban uprising ever seen, after all the trouble with Islamic State 6 years Prior they wanted to clean this out before it could become a hazard for the people of the world, what they did not expect though, is the chopper to disappear without a trace. for humanity, they lost one helicopter it is not a large deal. But for where that chopper has gone, they may have gained something far greater than they ever could have expected. As for the marines themselves, they will make it up as they go along.

This is our story, my story. Starting from our last day breathing Earth air to now. and boy it was one hell of a bumpy ride, Lt Lyra Locke reporting from the middle of a dirty building in the middle of asshole nowhere, trying to make this place...a better place.

There are things out there in the Wastelands even the historians don't know about.

Whirling Feather is just another ordinary pony in the Grand Pegasus Enclave military. Living above the protecting cloud cover, she's fairly oblivious to the poisonous wasteland below.
But after an unpleasant mission goes horribly wrong, she find herself grounded and isolated.
Now she simply wants to go home - but it is the Equestrian Wasteland, there is no such thing as simplicity.

Sia, formerly a raider in the Mojave Wastes, has found herself on the wrong side of everyones favourite Courier and Wanderer, Cassandra and Ethan Smith, as well as Equestria's Celestia and Twilight.

Thanks to a series of unfortunate event Sia will find herself involved in the ongoing struggle between a cult and a clan. Sia will have to figure out who to support while also learning how to fit into a world where ponies are actually occasionally civil.

All the while her past weighs heavily on her mind and in some ways is even more dangerous to her then the inhuman creatures inhabiting the strange land she’d ended up in.

The Equestrian Navy is being equipped with the latest of front-line technology, the 'water-carriage', or ship. It is used by the navy for trading and protecting other ships using pirate-like tactics. However, they would have a shock of their own with the existance of another, unknown ship which seems not to be with theirs or others.

Who are you who does not know your history?

In the 24 years since the Day of Sunshine and Rainbows the NCR has expanded to control a large part of central Equestria. Throughout the land civilization has replaced savagery. Traders have replaced raiders. Deadly mutated bugs replaced with less deadly mutated bugs. Even slavery has been by and large stomped out. Ponies have even stopped referring to the "Equestrian Wasteland" and once again refer to it as simply "Equestria."

Well, at least in some parts. In areas outside the "Civilized Lands" raiders still run free and deadly creatures will still try and eat any living thing they come across. These are the regions that were out of range when the Gardens of Equestria spell was cast. They are still radioactive, tainted, and dangerous. It is at the heart of one of these areas, known as the San Palomino desert, that Stable 34 lies. And it is there that a crew of archaeologists from the Followers of the Apocalypse is being sent. Their goal is to reach Stable 34 and find out everything they can about it. But as it turns out, there is a lot more to the story of the San Palomino badlands than anyone had ever thought.

When one strives for a goal, whether compelled by personal passion, a sense of atonement, or either with a touch of obsession, how easy is it to lose sight of what is truly important? When all is said and done, and a dream is accomplished, when does one take inventory of their actions and choices? Could it be that in the pursuit of the greatest kind of good, one could become the worst kind of monster? Fortunately, there can be those who stop us from taking the horrific life altering risks that could make even the brightest angel into the most abominable devil. What can last an eternity but be born in an instant, and can be both so very close but far away. What can bind both many and few, big or small, the young, the old, and the ancient together? The answer is the magic of friendship.

This is an appendix to A Journey Unthought Of, however it is not necessary to read the original work to enjoy this story, as it can stand on its own as a separate piece of fiction that enhances the established canon of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. This story was written before the Season 4 Premiere took place.
