//------------------------------// // Bismarck vs Equestrian 2nd Fleet // Story: German Battleship Bismarck // by cellum95 //------------------------------// It was now dreadful for the Equestrian 2nd Fleet and it's crew, and it's not even faring better each day as a single German Ar 196 recon plane is constantly scrapping them to death, but often times, nopony is injured. However, with the loss of two precious ships, they thought that after this day horrifying day in Day five, it's gonna be over soon. But, they were wrong, as they will enjoy their last sailing trip which is their first. >Day 6, Equestrian Sea, Day of the Battle< The Equestrian 2nd Fleet is still miles away from their objective, one of the ports of Zebrica, but losing two ships and hoof-full of precious cargoes. The sailors in the fleet are in constant alert, thinking that the 'flying object' is still out there, toying with them just so to kill them. However, it might be a good day for them. No attacks from the air, which was unusual, and it was calm, and so, surely but slowly, they returned to their cocky attitudes, believing the danger had passed, but it was not. The German Battleship Bismarck is now twenty-one miles from the fleet, and her observers notified her forward guns to go some degrees and elevation to hit them. In the bridge, Admiral Lutjens plots his tactic. He must first strike the ships with his forward fifteen inch guns, then turn to port, unleashing Bismarck's full broad side, making massive firepower against the enemy. With the ship slowed down, the Bismarck is now nineteen miles from the 2nd Fleet. Aboard HMES Giggle, the southwest ship of the fleet, the crew spotted the Bismarck, and they were struck with awe as they saw the battleship alone. None of their 'water-carriages' can't beat the sheer complexity of the ship. However, their admiration of the battleship is soon vanished as the 'flying object' was seen from the Bismarck towards the fleet. The crew of Giggle is now in high alert, while they knew that their comrades are not aware of the imminent danger ahead of them. But as soon as they were sixteen miles from the Bismarck, the German Battleship fires four salvos towards the sea, making the entire crew of the 2nd Fleet look towards the huge column water. As it dissipates, the Ar 196 was know shown, flew above their heads with the intention of destroying them. But it was just a decoy. Within the fifteen mile radius, the Bismarck fires it's forward guns, hitting HMES Laughter and HMES Generosity. The crew of HMES Giggle is now aware of the 'water-carriage' ahead of them: it could rain down chaos on the fleet. And it did. The entire sailors are now running wild, as Bismarck fires it's main guns unto them, killing HMES Loyalty and HMES Royalty. As soon it was in a thirteen mile radius, the Bismarck turns to port, making way for a broad side attack, and unleashed a terrible storm of salvos towards the 2nd Fleet. The Ar 196 also added the sailors paranoia, scrapping them with it's machine guns, hoping to weaken them for the Bismarck to kill it more easily. Four more ships of the 2nd Fleet was being destroyed, and now ten out of the twenty original ships of the Equestrian 2nd Fleets tries to get past the burning wreckage of their comrades, but cannot maneuver easily. The Bismarck fires again, unleashing more firepower to the fleet, killing three more of the fleet. With their fear building up, the sailors struggles to escape, all the while being scrapped by the Ar 196. HMES Giggle's crew is now the only ship that is not being hit yet, thanks to smoke and wreckage from their dead comrades. Bismarck's eight massive guns fired at the helpless 2nd Fleet, destroying more ships, reducing the 2nd Fleet's joyful mission into a living nightmare. With two ships left, HMES Giggle and HMES Harmony, the sailors tried to escape, but the Bismarck's rapid firing gun is now making it difficult than ever. One of the shells hit HMES Harmony, killing it instantly, and the last one hit HMES Giggle, destroying it into pieces. With the last of the enemy ships down, the Bismarck steers directly north, continuing on with a single message from the destroyed 2nd Fleet itself: No one is safe from Bismarck's waiting guns of destruction.
