It was now dreadful for the Equestrian 2nd Fleet and it's crew, and it's not even faring better each day as a single German Ar 196 recon plane is constantly scrapping them to death, but often times, nopony is injured. However, with the loss of two precious ships, they thought that after this day horrifying day in Day five, it's gonna be over soon. But, they were wrong, as they will enjoy their last sailing trip which is their first.
>Day 6, Equestrian Sea, Day of the Battle<
The Equestrian 2nd Fleet is still miles away from their objective, one of the ports of Zebrica, but losing two ships and hoof-full of precious cargoes. The sailors in the fleet are in constant alert, thinking that the 'flying object' is still out there, toying with them just so to kill them.
However, it might be a good day for them. No attacks from the air, which was unusual, and it was calm, and so, surely but slowly, they returned to their cocky attitudes, believing the danger had passed, but it was not. The German Battleship Bismarck is now twenty-one miles from the fleet, and her observers notified her forward guns to go some degrees and elevation to hit them. In the bridge, Admiral Lutjens plots his tactic.
He must first strike the ships with his forward fifteen inch guns, then turn to port, unleashing Bismarck's full broad side, making massive firepower against the enemy. With the ship slowed down, the Bismarck is now nineteen miles from the 2nd Fleet. Aboard HMES Giggle, the southwest ship of the fleet, the crew spotted the Bismarck, and they were struck with awe as they saw the battleship alone. None of their 'water-carriages' can't beat the sheer complexity of the ship.
However, their admiration of the battleship is soon vanished as the 'flying object' was seen from the Bismarck towards the fleet. The crew of Giggle is now in high alert, while they knew that their comrades are not aware of the imminent danger ahead of them. But as soon as they were sixteen miles from the Bismarck, the German Battleship fires four salvos towards the sea, making the entire crew of the 2nd Fleet look towards the huge column water. As it dissipates, the Ar 196 was know shown, flew above their heads with the intention of destroying them. But it was just a decoy. Within the fifteen mile radius, the Bismarck fires it's forward guns, hitting HMES Laughter and HMES Generosity.
The crew of HMES Giggle is now aware of the 'water-carriage' ahead of them: it could rain down chaos on the fleet. And it did. The entire sailors are now running wild, as Bismarck fires it's main guns unto them, killing HMES Loyalty and HMES Royalty. As soon it was in a thirteen mile radius, the Bismarck turns to port, making way for a broad side attack, and unleashed a terrible storm of salvos towards the 2nd Fleet. The Ar 196 also added the sailors paranoia, scrapping them with it's machine guns, hoping to weaken them for the Bismarck to kill it more easily. Four more ships of the 2nd Fleet was being destroyed, and now ten out of the twenty original ships of the Equestrian 2nd Fleets tries to get past the burning wreckage of their comrades, but cannot maneuver easily.
The Bismarck fires again, unleashing more firepower to the fleet, killing three more of the fleet. With their fear building up, the sailors struggles to escape, all the while being scrapped by the Ar 196. HMES Giggle's crew is now the only ship that is not being hit yet, thanks to smoke and wreckage from their dead comrades. Bismarck's eight massive guns fired at the helpless 2nd Fleet, destroying more ships, reducing the 2nd Fleet's joyful mission into a living nightmare. With two ships left, HMES Giggle and HMES Harmony, the sailors tried to escape, but the Bismarck's rapid firing gun is now making it difficult than ever. One of the shells hit HMES Harmony, killing it instantly, and the last one hit HMES Giggle, destroying it into pieces.
With the last of the enemy ships down, the Bismarck steers directly north, continuing on with a single message from the destroyed 2nd Fleet itself: No one is safe from Bismarck's waiting guns of destruction.
Nice... Let's remember not everybody on Heers or Kriegsmarine was a convinced Nazi, many of them were your everyday guy, with it's hopes and dreams, brainwashed to think they had the right to defend against a "oppression" only seen by politics.
Would read it and expect lots of d'aawww. "Mein kleinest pfer ist geil!"
3975006 XD
Hold on... Why didn't the plane notice that there weren't humans on that ship? Wouldn't the pilot have found that odd and perhaps reported back? How could the Germans have not noticed they were attacking ships far to primitive to belong to the enemy?
That aside, this is amazing. I love reading about the sheer awesomeness of the Germans in this fic. Poor Equestrians...
3975195 Meh....I used the type of 'The hell with it's just a ship' doctrine. Still, the 2nd Fleet is a convoy and the Bismarck was designed to destroy convoys, if you know what I mean.
3975199 I just noticed a huge hole in your logic here, wouldn't the Bismark and the plane have some sort of way to identify ships? Surly they would have noticed the ships were not like any they have seen before, or that they were colored differently.
3975238 I don't know, maybe they were too focused on killing the ships, or my fucking brain is having shit problems with me. Anyhow, the next chapter might fix that little problem I have.
I have given you a thumbs down. But here's why:
1: your grammar is atrocious.
2: it is clear you didn't read through your chapters before posting them, as there are several sentences and word usages that simply don't make a lick of sense. One example is the repeated use of the word 'scrapping' in context, I'm fairly certain you meant 'strafing' which is to fly by showering a target with machine gun fire.
3: (most severe) the Germans in your story are acting like the boogeyman, attacking unknowns without conscience or remorse. Though The WWII German navy are historical 'bad guys', soilders don't act like that.
When the recon plane spotted the equestrians, the first thing it should have noticed was that the convoy ships didn't bear any resemblance to known structures of any allied ships.
3975257 Alright then, I would like to know that the story will be in Hiatus for a long time until I could fix this fucking brain and my story so that shit won't happen.
3975310
I didn't mean to kill your will to write. The story's rating shows there are 30 some people who are enjoying it, write for them.
Though I suggest reading the story "battleships are magic" to get an idea how to improve yours going forward.
3975334 I already read it for how many times already? Maybe two? That story actually inspired me to create Bismarck stories like 'The Bismarck' and this one.
One other thing about Bismarck is that evidence from the wreck site points to scuttling and the British were known to have left the survivors to their fate. 105 were picked up by Doshetshire another 5 were rescued by U-Boat. Some say the British left because a U-Boat had been sighted others say they left to get revenge for the high loss of men on HMS Hood
One story I'm surprised no one has attempted is what if both Bismarck, Scharnhrost, Gnisenau, and Tirpitz had made that sortie into the Atlantic like the orginal plan had been and ended up in Euquestria
The Griffon Empire had just invented cannons and are going for a test fire at sea.
other ships from earth may appear (USS Arizona?)
3975537 Yeah.
3975848 lol Bismarck already had newer cannons so it's scrap.
3976084 Maybe....I don't know. This story is completely focused on the Bismarck herself. If there are others, then another story perhaps.
3977227
It surprises me everyone goes for Bismarck I have yet to see a story about the Graf Spee, Scharnhorst, Gnisenau and above all Bismarck's sister ship Tirpitz
3978220 I don't know why. :P
I believe the allies should eventually get into equestria (to even things out, and to get soviet ponies, yes I'm serious)
3976084
There are limits to what I will tolerate, Bismarck is close to crossing the line but using Arizona in an MLP Fanfic is insulting not just to her crew but to all who died at Pearl Harbor
3982629 XD Not yet. This fic is classified as humans vs ponies.
3983952 I totally agree. I'm trying my best to lift what was left of the Kriegsmarine here in this fic.
this germans are not performing as they should.... but ... the hell with logic....this is fun y like it
give the bismarck infinite shells and fuel.... in order to create MORE CHAOS
3998941 XD
3999041 I'm creating the logical sense in my next chapter(spoilers) to have no more confusion, and no they will run out of fuel and ammo in how many days before that. Still, if I remember correctly in my head, I'm creating a nation of technological advanced ponies somewhere west/east of Equestria(spoilers again)

Okay I've got to point this out because it's driving me crazy. The Pride of the US Navy wasn't USS Arizona, the Iowas or USS Enterprise, the Pride of the US Navy was the Battleship USS Maryland

So whats the total casualties for the fleet?
