Twilight Sparkle is given a task by Princess Celestia to help aid Luna in her dream realm duties. A seemingly random thing to do, but Twilight happily accepted the job, despite the princesses acting... oddly.

And, oh Celestia.

It's not what Twilight expected.

It's just a normal dinner at the castle with in-laws. What could go wrong?

Well, quite a lot really.

This was an entry for a duo contest in Quills and Sofas I wrote with Holtinater like a year or two ago and just never got around to publishing it. So here you go!

Even the most common sayings can lead into larger things. Twilight sends a letter to Celestia confronting her unjustly founded fears of Twilight's immortality years after the passing of her last friend.

Based off an idea conceived early this morning. Approx 1 hour went into this. Finally have a proper counter to the Twilight Sadfics out there.

Twilight, inquisitive has ever, has gone to Luna with a question about her senses...

That is likely to be a mistake.

We all have our own personal rituals. Cadance does too; however, hers is a ritual she prays that no one will find out about.

This story is a sequel to Discord Visits the Afterlife

Though Ponyville at large is still mourning Fluttershy, Discord remains entirely unperturbed by the loss of his first friend. The reason becomes clear when he offers to take Twilight and her friends to visit Fluttershy in the Elysium.

The sudden and unexpected loss of Fluttershy was one of the most tragic events to have struck Ponyville in living memory, and most of her friends have struggled to accept the fact that she is gone.

It's a good thing Discord isn't like most of her friends.

Starlight Glimmer tries to solve the problem of aging. And she does. But there are drawbacks.

While Celestia and Luna were the rulers of ponykind of many centuries, they were not the only alicorn leaders of their people's ancient past. Through the power of modern technology, they find a way to restore their father, Solaris, to be able to speak to them once more. As it turns out, this might not have been the best idea.
