When all you love is lost, and no comfort great enough,
is there ever truly a time to seek death, before you deserve its embrace?
There was such a time for Twilight Sparkle, after her friends all passed away before her.
She was of royal blood, she was meant to have hundreds of years to live.
She did not want them... All Twilight wanted was to have her friends back.

Celestia is forced to come to grips with the true pain of immortality.
After all these years, there was no pony, no student she had grown more attached to than her faithful Twilight.
But Twilight's hoof was forced by the madness of loss, and Celestia's only option was to destroy that which she had raised from a foal, the one she had grown to care for as a daughter.

I know I probably could've added more to this, but I was inspired for only about an hour, and I thought that I reached an acceptable stopping point when my mind stopped producing coherent ideas. I hope you enjoy.

19/3/14 - Oooh! I see myself on the popular stories list! It may not be very high up, but yay! EDIT: Eeek! It made third place! Oh my gosh! You guys! It made first place on the Popular Stories list. Not sure that will last long, but hooray! Yes, I know it has no real significance!

20/3/14 - Oh my goodness! I feel like I'm accepting an Oscar or something. It was such a wonderful surprise to log on and see people congratulating me on getting featured, even if I did miss its time in the spotlight. This is an honour I never thought I'd have the privilege to accept.

What if Applejack and Rainbow Dash had been too late to save Twilight from her fall in the Everfree forest?

AU. When Shining Armor and Cadence's love shockwave vanquishes the Changelings, before being sent away Queen Chrysalis fires a poisonous beam at Twilight's chest that leaves her in a comatose state she might never wake up from. As the doctors fail to find a cure, and everypony starts losing hope, Shining Armor is determined to help Twilight return to them, but on the inside he is conflicted by the cruelty he mustered at her the night before and his failure to ask for her forgiveness before being shot. Shining won't be able to live in once until Twilight says she forgives him, but how can that be when she can't probably even hear him?
Will Twilight wake up and go back to her old life, or will Shining Armor's tortured memory forever haunt him?

The Mane Seven are on a mission to spread friendship across Equestria. It sounds easy enough, but should they let their guard down?

Twilight is confident that she can cope with any situation. Maybe she’s right and there really is nothing to worry about... Maybe.

After the girls were done celebrating getting their cutie marks back, the elements activated on their own turning on Twilight leaving behind only a pile of ash. This story goes on to try and show how various people would deal with Twilight’s death.

Takes place a while after Twilights death, Twilight does not become an alicorn princess and anything after is effectively non canon unless I choose to incorporate it.
