Novel Tale is an author that's been living in Canterlot for about ten years now. That's a pretty good track record for a changeling. He's even included a changeling character in his latest book, and his fans have been loving his take on such an obscure mythological creature, especially his biggest fan, Twilight Sparkle. Things are looking up!

Then an army of changelings from another hive attacks Canterlot.

Now all of ponykind knows that changelings are real, and his readers are sure to realize that the changeling in his book was too similar to the real thing to have just been based on a myth...

Lyra Heartstrings is a up-and-coming musician living in the quiet town of Ponyville. Her marefriend Bon Bon owns and operates Canter Candies, the town's specialty sweets shop. They've been together for years, and everypony around knows what a happy couple they are. But any relationship has its ups and downs, and it's hard to ignore every awkward moment.

Like when Lyra's ex arrives in town.
Because she thinks Lyra still has a thing for her.
Because someone's been impersonating her for the past few years.

...Bon Bon might be in trouble here.

After the Canterlot Wedding, Fluttershy asked Twilight a difficult question. Now, Rainbow Dash flies in to talk some sense into her and to shake things up with a question of her own. On top of that, there's some sort of conspiracy going on. What are these ponies up to?

Author's Note: While I normally prefer to keep my writing self-contained instead of expanding upon another author's work, I was inspired to write this after seeing the context prompt here. Really, so many things could be changed just by tweaking the circumstances that it would have been a shame not to do so. If there's anything I've learned as a writer, it's to chase those wild, untamed ideas and not let them get away. So yes, this story is a sequel to GaPJaxie's work, and picks up after that one cuts off. Please read it first.

Anyway, after getting blasted to the Deer Kingdom with the power of public displays of affection, some changelings talk about ethical problems and their sex lives.

This may or may not lead to mutiny.

Takes place in the Matterverse, a multiverse that encompasses every possible variation of the half-hour after the Canterlot Wedding in which all of Equestria suddenly drops everything and begins philosophizing furiously.

Stories in the Matterverse are currently Would It Matter If I Was? (the original), What Matters More? (I'll read it eventually), Do It Mattered If I Is (what), and, just to spite the admins, Yes, It Matters (the grammar is more heinous than the content).
