The star system Omega Centauri was just another oddity on a map to scientists in the not too distant future. However when they found the star was orbiting an earth-sized, earth-like planet instead of a black hole as its motion had suggested, a mission was scrambled to investigate this most unusual of celestial behaviors.

Hamstrung by politics, and nearly crippled before it began, the 'Lone Ranger' mission was reduced to just one crew member and left to his own devices.

A group of researchers under the employ of Princess Celestia come across a very important discovery and the princess herself is called in to assist. Something has been lost in the tundra around the crystal empire.

So alone for so long a time.

Being sucked out of your own world by a magic spell that can’t be safely reversed is one thing. It happens all the time in fantasy novels. It was only a matter of time before one of those spells hit my world, and someone has to win the lottery.

Arriving in a world where, not only are humans not the dominant species, but there aren’t any other humans at all, is rather more difficult. Still, the dominant species, the ponies, seem to be a nice enough bunch that they’ll accept a stranger in their midst. I think.

The fact that they don’t speak English, or even any kind of analogue of English, is inevitable, I guess. In another universe entirely, it’s only natural that they wouldn’t speak English. Though, the one who brought me here used her magic to learn it, so I can at least talk to someone.

Surviving all of these is potentially doable. But all those problems, plus uptight nobles, overenthusiastic princesses, a griffon with a superiority/inferiority complex, homesickness and insomnia might be one too many problems to handle. And the insomnia isn’t going away any time soon, so I’d better get comfortable with Twilight and all the rest.

Cast out by pony society, this man must find his place with the other Equestrian outcasts in order to survive. Fortunately, there are more of them than anypony else thought. And they aren't happy.

He may not like it, but he has little choice but to step into...

Such were the last intelligent words of a mostly-good stallion I knew, just before he was... Taken, for lack of a better term, by the balance he sought to serve. In my old life, there was no “balance,” only profit, whether it be in money, favors, or the delusion that you were good. I can’t say that much has changed, except that going against the balance will result in you getting punished, one way or another.

I managed to avoid punishment, but it managed to catch up to me.

It’s been about 1,100 years since I was last free, So I think it’s time I do what I do best:
Make a profit, doing jobs others won’t do, even if they go against what ‘should’ be done.

Here’s my foray into the LoHaV(ish) group. My character was made using the random power generator thread. I’d post a link to it, but it’s no longer where I thought it was. The point of the thread was to use 5 random powers and make a story, the main character being a human(?) with those powers. My five are:

Fairy Aura: repels dark magic.
Divine Slayer: among other things, gains the power to kill gods.
Bio-energy Manipulator: can manipulate, absorb, and generate bio-energy, bio-electricity, and bio-mass.
Infected Arm: one arm becomes a symbiotic “parasite” (think ‘Migi’ from the manga “Parasyte”).
Magical Trap Construction: Can make magic-based traps/alarms.

It's been a year now since Twilight vanished after attempting a sonic rainboom. She's spent her time fighting in WWII alongside her brothers in arms. Now, after a bad jump, she finds herself back in Equestria. After a well deserved rest, a nice, warm bath, and the most unusual breakfast, she begins to tell her story.

It started out as a simple day, as it always does. A nice stroll through the countryside with the one you loved the most. But it wasn't anything like that, to Twilight and Luna. Celestia know's what would have happened if they weren't in the right place at the right time. After discovering an unknown colt, Luna and Twilight vow to patch him up, help him regain his memories, and send him back from which he came. Well...That's the plan at least...
