One week after the Changeling invasion of Canterlot, Twilight is taking a much needed vacation when she is met by none other than The Doctor, back from a lengthy trip to Equestria's past. Unfortunately for them a dark force has secretly taken control the Canterlot News Agency and is using its influence to spread paranoia and fear to the capital city. Now it's up to Spike, Twilight Sparkle, and The Doctor to find out who or what is behind this attack and stop them before it's too late!

Perhaps Doctor Whooves is not a medical doctor or a time lord, but a doctor of psychology.

The following are his journals after he receives instructions from Princess Celestia to permanently set up shop in Ponyville to keep an eye on Twilight Sparkle and her friends, where he learns more than he bargained for.

While visiting the earth pony town of Promise, the Great and Powerful Trixie is coerced into searching for a missing foal against her own better judgment. But things are not as straightforward as they first appear. When push comes to shove, what kind of pony is Trixie at heart?

Sweetie Belle, alone and dejected, comes across The Great and Powerful Trixie, who was ostracized for her prior misdeeds involving the Ursa Minor. Trixie becomes Sweetie Belle's tutor, giving Sweetie (and perhaps herself as well) both the guidance and companionship she needs.

This is a S1 fic. Events take place before 'The Return of Harmony, pt 1'.
