As a writer, one usually has to deal with occasional writers block. A common way to help decrease writers block is to play out a story in ones mind, letting it go which ever way it wants to.
Often times, the writer can put themselves in the story as well.

But they must remember that their 'avatar' in the story is not invernerable.
Perfectly capable of being hurt.
Perfectly capable of being killed.

Now what would happen if a writer, who put themselves into a story in which they wanted to help defeat a 'sinister darkness' from doing harm to others, tries to save everyone without looking too suspisious themselves?

It was supposed to be boring. The Annual Magic Users Convention is the one event of the year that recognizes all the accomplishments that unicorns, alicorns and other magic users have made. It's usually a night of long-winded speeches, mind-numbing presentations and unappetizing food. But when a certain mailmare finds two tickets to the convention addressed to her house, she decides that it is not only her privilege, but her duty to attend. And after suitably preparing herself for the occasion, she changes what is usually a boring night into one of the wildest and most bizarre experiences in a thousand years.

A sequel to 'Hiatus' - Spurred on by her sister, Luna decides to open a summer camp dedicated to the arts and sciences in an attempt to become further involved with the daily lives of Equestria's citizens, hopefully improving her reputation in the process. The campers that sign up prove to be more than what the Princess of the Night was expecting, however. 'Camp Counselor' certainly wasn't supposed to be part of the royal duties.

Hey all. I've never let anyone see anything I've written before, but I decided it would be good to get some opinions on this story I've been working on. My first fanfic, and really just something that came into my head. I don't believe there are a whole lot of FMA/MLP crossovers on this site, so I may as well throw mine into the mix! If anypony has any title suggestions/would like to design a cover, I'd really appreciate it! You all could probably do better than I could!

For you FMA fans, the only solid details I'm drawing are the obvious facts about the Elric's, and that this story would take place after the Conqueror of Shamballa movie.

An "experiment" gone wrong, a death knight finds himself, his brother and their guild scribe in Equestria, in the shape of the equine race known in this realm as ponies.

As the night approaches, they set up a make-shift camp. Having no need for sleep, the death knight naturally acts as the night watch. To pass time, he starts writing in his journal.

Little does he know what the future has in store for him and his fellow misfits. After all, the universe is an obnoxious bastard.
