Big Machintosh and Fluttershy begin a companionship during the first day of their high school lives and try keep each other sane in a school that had already labeled them as outcasts for being overtly shy, among other things. As the year progressed, this companionship eventually changed into something more.

But both lives are instantly changed forever when Big Mac investigates a rumor about his new 'friend'.

Big Mac is in the hospital after an errant tree injures him. His family is there by his side and the memories of her father come back to Windfall. Six months after he is buried, a new face enters the picture.

In a small cottage outside of Ponyville, two males fight for the want and affection of one pony they both care about deeply...

After Rainbow Dash is asked by Fluttershy to take care of her cottage while she is away, she gladly accepts, and goes to house-sit for her friend. The blue pegasus stumbles across her friend's diary, though, and although she tries to resist reading it, she ends up reading all of her friend's personal secrets.

EDIT: I've lost interest in writing more of these by the second one, so the sequels to this story are cancelled. Sorry!

Is it possible for a relationship, or even just friendship to bloom if the two ponies in question are nearly incapable of voicing their thoughts and feelings?
