She was glad to be out of the cold night for once. The animals were asleep, and she grew slightly happier knowing that Angel was already asleep too. Rainbow Dash pulled out the to-do list the animal caretaker gave to her. She carelessly read the tasks on it. 1. Clean the house. 2. Feed and clean the animals. 3. Water the plants. Rainbow Dash, being careless again, skimmed through the rest of the list and stopped at the very last thing written on it. You may help yourself to some snacks if you wish, Dashie. It felt slightly weird for Rainbow Dash to read her nickname on paper like that. She shook her head and slipped the to-do list back into her saddlebags. Rainbow Dash flew up the stairs and entered Fluttershy's room. She'd do the basics first, and she'd start with cleaning the shy pony's room. Rainbow Dash gently opened the door. She looked around, looking for the smallest and easiest things to clean or wash. Then she spotted a mini bookshelf. It was full of books, and completely clean. Do I really have to do anything? Rainbow Dash questioned herself. The blue Pegasus trotted over to the bookshelf and skimmed through the books. Fluttershy's books were rather boring. They were romance novels, all of that sappy stuff! Not a single Daring Do book in sight. The rainbow-maned mare sighed, annoyed at the animal-loving pony's bad taste in books. No offense to Fluttershy herself, though, Rainbow Dash thought. Then a certain book stood out. Rainbow Dash looked at it for a moment or two, then took it out. On the cover, it said Fluttershy's Diary. It was yellow with small pink butterflies on it, then Fluttershy's cutie mark in the center. Rainbow Dash's gaze turned to the lock on it. The key stuck out of the bottom of the diary, just in the middle of all of the pages. Rainbow Dash pulled it out and unlocked the diary, but closed her eyes and put it on the bed. "Oh Celestia! What am I doing? I can't read Fluttershy's diary! For Celestia's sake, I'm the element of loyalty. I have to be loyal to my friends!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed. The blue mare opened her eyes again and glanced over at the diary. It looked too tempting. The open diary was welcoming her to read it. Rainbow Dash groaned in annoyance, turning away from the diary. Her muzzle in the air, her eyes closed again, and her hooves crossed, Rainbow Dash sat down arrogantly. "Hmph!" Rainbow Dash grunted angrily. She opened her eyes and looked back at the diary. "Well...I'll read it!" she said again, this time rather excitedly. She got up and rushed over to Fluttershy's diary and began to read it. Dear diary, Today I just met the cutest stallion ever! I mean, we met before, but this is the first time we actually talked! Squee! He's so strong...his name's Big Macintosh, Applejack's big brother. But, I don't know if Applejack will like me falling in love with her big brother... Rainbow Dash looked up. "Drama already?" she laughed. The blue mare looked back down at the diary, finishing reading the entry. It was already interesting by the first page. I think he's in love with me too! Every time we get to talk to each other, oh my Celestia, I think I can see him BLUSHING! Squee! The entry ended. Rainbow Dash looked at the one below it. The next one looked rather short, but she continued to read it anyways. Dear diary, Big Mac sent me a letter today. He asked me to come over to the barn. Oh my Celestia! Maybe we can share an apple or two...this will be so fun! We didn't talk that much yet, though, so we might not do anything... The arrogant mare pictured Fluttershy being with Applejack's big brother. If anything, they would be talking about nature. "They'll get along with each other good!" the Pegasus laughed. She flipped the page. Now this entry was extremely long. Dear diary, Last night I had a date with Big Mac after we talked to each other a lot at Sweet Apple Acres. We simply ate some sweets at Sugarcube Corner. Pinkie Pie called us a cute couple, and I saw Big Mac blush a lot! He looked so adorable, then Pinkie Pie bounced away. We talked to each other a little bit more, eating some cupcakes. It was kind of romantic, but then it got even more romantic when he looked into my eyes, his gaze so beautiful and dreamy, and said I looked pretty! Wow, I could feel my whole face turning red. I kind of stammered a little bit when I talked to him again, but I told him he was handsome too. We both fell silent and spent a few minutes looking into each other's eyes. We unexpectedly stayed until it was almost closing time for Sugarcube Corner. We didn't realize it was closing time until Pinkie Pie came over and told us they were closing up for the night, and we both looked around. We were the only ponies left besides Mr. and Mrs. Cake, who were cleaning up behind Pinkie Pie. I felt a little sad, but I cheered up when Big Mac told me that he would walk me back home. We talked about doing this again on the way, and when we were at my cottage, we said our goodbyes and stared at each other. His gaze was starry and bright like the night sky. After that, he left, and I spent the entire night thinking about him. I hope he thought about me all night too! Rainbow Dash let out a loud sigh. How does she write so much in ONE diary entry?! she exclaimed in her thoughts. The mare put down the diary for a short breather, then picked it up again. She looked at the next page, as that entry apparently filled up the whole page it was written on. Dear diary, Today I bumped into Big Mac at the Ponyville marketplace. I was so happy to see him that I immediately greeted him and invited him over to my cottage. He said he'd come, and when we were done buying our things at the Ponyville marketplace, we went over to my house. I even let him stay for the night, he was too good to lose! Anyways, we did some fun things together until it was almost midnight. It was really late, and we had nothing else to do, so we just talked to each other. But then we started to talk about more romantic things...and eventually...we...you know, made love. Rainbow Dash broke out in laughter, falling back on the bed. "Wow, Fluttershy's too scared to write the word for making love in her own private diary?! Well, even though I'm reading it...but still!" she exclaimed happily. The mare panted heavily for a few seconds, then continued to read the entry. But when she thought about it, it did smell like Big Mac and apples in here, especially on the bed. After we did that, we talked again, and he said he loved me. It was only the third or fourth day we hung out together, but I said I loved him too. We shared a kiss together, then we both fell asleep. It was so amazing! The entry ended there. Rainbow Dash put the diary down next to her and sat up, then jumped off of the bed, landing on the floor rather loudly. She looked at the clock. It was 10:30 P.M. She'd better finish her tasks quickly. The mare sped downstairs, checked her to-do list, and started with cleaning Fluttershy's cottage. ----- Rainbow Dash returned to the small, but nice bedroom, continuing to read the diary. She looked at the clock first, though. It was now 11:00 P.M. The blue mare looked at the last entry on the page, as well as the last entry in the entire diary. Either Fluttershy just now got this diary, or she barely wrote that much in it. Dear diary, Today Big Mac told me he told Applejack about our romantic relationship. He said Applejack was a little bit worried about us, but she was mostly happy. She wished us good luck on our relationship and went back inside the barn... That entry was really short, Rainbow Dash thought. Suddenly, a door opened downstairs and closed. There were voices coming up the stairs, along with the sound of trotting. It sounded like ponies were coming up the stairs to Fluttershy's bedroom, two of them. Just as Rainbow Dash was about to close the diary, the door opened. "That was the most fun I ever had, Big Mac!" Fluttershy said. "Eeyup," Big Mac agreed, smiling at her. They both looked at the bed, then their happy expressions turned into shocked ones. Fluttershy covered her mouth with her hoof, her muffled voice barely audible, as she already was extremely quiet all the time, as she gasped. The farmer spoke again. "Nnnope!" "I can explain!" Rainbow Dash said as she looked at the open diary, then back at the two surprised ponies. "Then do it!" Big Mac said as Fluttershy looked like she was on the verge of tears. "I was bored...and interested in this!" Rainbow Dash said, grinning nervously. Big Mac remained silent, then finally spoke again. "We'll see what Fluttershy has to say about this later...when she's done cryin' because you read her diary," Big Mac said harshly, then turned away, guiding the now sobbing mare downstairs and comforting her. Rainbow Dash stared at the diary next to her. She shrugged. "Worth it," she chuckled. ----- Fluttershy trotted back into her room with Big Mac, her face stained with dry tears. Her mane and tail were both unkempt, and occasionally she sniffed. Her eyes were half closed as well, looking depressing. It was just a diary, though. Rainbow Dash didn't understand. But then again, she didn't have a diary either. "You read my secrets!" Fluttershy exclaimed sadly, using up all of her strength to even make herself sound loud at all. "Yeah, totally dramatic, but also hilarious!" Rainbow Dash said, clearly missing the point. The red stallion shot Rainbow Dash a menacing glare. The amused pony immediately stopped enjoying herself. "Darn it, Rainbow Dash! She's upset over you readin' her diary! Aren't ya angry at yourself at all?!" Big Mac pressed furiously, approaching the ignorant pony. He looked intimidating, being so close to her and so angry at her actions at the same time. "You treated my personal secrets like...um...bad stuff!" Fluttershy said nervously, but she looked back up at Rainbow Dash with extreme fury in her eyes. Rainbow Dash stared at Fluttershy, bored. Fluttershy couldn't even make herself cuss. She sighed, looking over at Big Mac. He looked slightly awkward too, but he avoided looking at the pony he loved with a nervous stare. "Fluttershy, you were probably gonna share it all anyways. It was only your relationship with Big Mac that I read, as well as the only entries I saw in your entire diary. Seriously, Applejack already knows, and if you two were any closer, ponies would know you were in love all over Equestria!" Rainbow Dash argued, getting off of the bed, annoyed. "That's it! Get the buck out!" Fluttershy yelled, finally cussing. "Fine, fine!" Rainbow Dash said. Fluttershy pushed her out on her own anyways instead of waiting for Rainbow Dash to trot out of the cottage, and Big Mac glared at Rainbow Dash on her way downstairs to ensure her departure for the night. "Good night!" Fluttershy shouted at Rainbow Dash, then slammed the door shut. Rainbow Dash listened to the two ponies stomp back upstairs and rant about her rude actions. Once the noise was gone, she chuckled. "Oh my Celestia, talk about drama!" she whispered to herself. The blue mare stood there for a few seconds, thinking that she might as well be banned from visiting Fluttershy's cottage ever again, or at least some long time period like a moon or two. She began to fly off, returning to her home in the sky, laughing the whole time when she thought about the ridiculous entries in Fluttershy's diary explaining the sappy relationship with Big Mac, Fluttershy's horrible taste in books, and the two ponies overreacting when they trotted into the rainbow-maned pony's friend's room unexpectedly to see Rainbow Dash reading the yellow mare's diary, as well as their amusing expressions on their faces when they first trotted in on the sight. "I hope I'm not banned from other homes if Fluttershy tells other ponies. Reading diaries is so funny...and fun!" Rainbow Dash yelled, ignoring the fact that she could have woken up some ponies that lived directly below the Wonderbolt fan's home. She continued to fly into her home, and when she fell asleep, she continued to dream about the priceless entries she read. ----- Fluttershy closed her diary after Big Mac left, locking it and slipping the key back inside. She put it back into her small bookshelf carefully, still distressed about Rainbow Dash reading all of the entries in her diary. She had already fixed herself up to not look miserable, and she didn't want to go through all of that cleaning again. Shortly afterwards, Fluttershy galloped quietly into the kitchen, her animals still asleep, and luckily, clean. It looked like Rainbow Dash wasn't lazy when she read Fluttershy's diary after all. She looked at her list of banned visitors. She swiftly wrote Rainbow Dash's name on the list, directly under Pinkie Pie's name. She looked up at the list, viewing what she wrote above the two mares' names. The Cutie Mark Crusaders. Princess Luna. Princess Celestia. Many more names of well-known ponies, or at least well-known ponies in Ponyville, were above the names Fluttershy saw on the list. She shook her head, focusing on her choice of putting Rainbow Dash on her banned visitor's list. With her friend banned, even though Fluttershy slightly regretted this decision, her diary would no longer be read, and her personal secrets, hopefully, would not be spread by Rainbow Dash rather than the pink-maned mare herself. The animal lover smiled at the list and returned to her bedroom, drifting into sleep.
