Even for a superfan like Rainbow, there are things you don't learn about the Wonderbolts until you become the newest part of the squad. Like how the view from the back of the formation never really changes, or that the slipstream carries a few unwelcome scents to the rear position. Or laundry. Nopony told her that the new mare was going to be responsible for doing the laundry. And the whole wash/dry process is just boring.

There's got to be a way to make laundry more interesting. Surely she can make an impression on Spitfire if she just... stunts it up.

Rainbow always makes an impression on ponies. And the landscape. A few windows. The occasional building...

This story is a sequel to Unnoticed

Do you know the mare? So many believe they do. A single glance is more than sufficient to teach them everything. And given that they now know everything, there's clearly no need to make any further inquiries. She is what they've decided her to be. No more, and it would take quite a bit of effort to create any degree of 'less'.

Do you know the pegasus? The mailmare, the single mother, the incompetent, the town's lowest-flying joke? Is that what you've told yourself?

Do you know her?
You don't.

While this story is tagged as a sequel, it's just following up on her previous appearance there: no knowledge of that piece is required.

What does a mayor do? On a good day, you get to nose over an award. It helps if you can make sure the weather schedule comes off on time. But more than anything else, it's about leadership. Taking responsibility for the safety and comfort of all those who live within your domain. That's how it's supposed to work. The mayor is the one who makes sure everything is under control.

This is Ponyville. Marigold is fully aware that on a typical day, approximately nothing will be under control. But when it comes to protecting those who live there, she still has to do whatever she can.

If there's anything left which she can do at all.

Being somepony's friend can require accepting the... quirkier parts of their personality: something Rarity is all too aware of, especially when it comes to the work involved in accepting hers. So discovering that Fluttershy possesses -- shall we say, a 'special interest' -- simply means that the designer needs to accompany her to the convention. Just to make sure the pegasus isn't going to get hurt.

But a mare of dignity and taste does not casually wander into a 'special interest' gathering and emerge unaffected. And as it happens, neither does Rarity.

"I can't help but wonder, what other old pony tales are true?"

The return of Princess Luna is still fresh in the collective mind, the day when Equestria learned that the old tales of Nightmare Night and the Mare In The Moon had had a grain of truth to them. With the adoption of Princess Cadence into the royal family, it had already been proven that there could be more alicorns than Celestia, but none had been prepared for one as old and powerful as Luna, one who could truly rival the Solar Princess and stand as her equal.

Some have welcomed her with open forelegs. For others, the adjustment is ongoing. Some communities may take a few generations to come around.

The public appearance during Nightmare Night was a good start, and Luna has Twilight Sparkle and her friends to thank for that. Now, however, she must call on them a second time, for a different sort of appearance. The city of Eventide wishes to not only welcome the Lunar Princess, but those instrumental in bringing her back.

But Eventide's relationship with the rest of Equestria has been strained for a very long time.

A thousand years' worth of time.

A standalone entry in the Eventide Verse.

On a cold Winter night, Police Chief Miranda Rights tries to arrest a very special visitor. With gifts.

Meant as a gift to Estee for the Tryptych Continuum and in particular Miranda Rights, the beleaguered and frequently overloaded Ponyville Chief of Police in the center of Chaos. (and occasionally host to Discord) Rain or shine, quiet nights or rampaging monsters, the thin blue line of the Ponyville police never breaks. (although at times it frays a bit)

Cover art patched together from several sources including Copper Top the police pony and Jean Sapin for the Christmas tree vector.

This story is a sequel to Schadenfreude Does a Thing

Schadenfreude does not like magic. Whenever it shows up, he gets hurt. Now, he has his own, personal curse to deal with, and had no one left to ask but the Rainbooms.

Who, if they can stop laughing, are more than willing to help fix his problem.

Oops, sorry. Hers. His? It's complicated.

This story is a sequel to Monsoon Season

When you're a filly, there isn't much point to seeing Homecoming as a holiday. Apple Bloom knows exactly how it works: you have to clean everything, make a big meal, there's a lot of adults talking around the dinner table -- so it's basically like every other day, except with extra chores and special plates. Homecoming is when you're supposed to be with your closest family, and she lives with them. She doesn't wait for Homecoming so much as she waits to get through it, or just... waits.

On Homecoming, you seek out your closest family.
Babs is spending Homecoming on the Acres.
Why?

There are certain issues involved with having Philomena as a pet. Giving the entire palace staff permission to take a swat at the bird if it tries anything? Has solved none of them. The phoenix is still trolling everypony, happily setting off pony tempers (and the occasional fire alarm) without a care in the world. The swats just aren't working.

Maybe a few murders will do the trick.

...or, given that it's Philomena, Celestia might have to go just a little further.

It really isn't Twilight's fault. She certainly didn't intend those exact results and given everything else which was happening at the time, there was no chance to fix it! Besides, it was just reasonable to expect that Ponyville's natural tendencies would solve things on their own. Probably without even noticing, and most likely with a squish.

But that clearly didn't happen. Because when it comes to that particular experiment's aftermath, the worst-case scenario just came through.

Fluttershy knows about the frog.
