The tumbleweeds tumbled down the dusty streets like a thing that tumbles, and the sound of the theme song to Colt Eastwood's "The Good, The Bad and the Ugly" played in the background. On a kazoo. By me. Because I was playing it on a kazoo. In the saloon. And then the weird fella who looked like some foals got their "build-a-model" kits for ponies, dragons and griffins all mixed up came in, sat down next to me, and offered to buy me a drink. Turns out chocolate milk really hits the spot when you've had a long, hard day of kazoo playing.

Their secret affair was always forbidden, yet at the same time, they were meant to be. Such a horrible paradox. This is the story of the beginning and the end of Princess Celestia's tragically perfect love life.

Every story is just a combination of twenty-six letters, all sewn together to form one masterpiece. Aren't words a beautiful thing? And I just so happen to write a lot of them. When Celestia comes to Ponyville for a visit on some royal business, she bumps into an excited and adorable little unicorn looking for a Princess to be at her tea party. Celestia, always working all the time, decides to relax and play along, letting old memories from her past be reborn.

A cutie mark appears on a pony's flank when he or she finds that certain something that makes them different from every other pony. - Miss Cheerilee

While there may be some fillies out there crusading for cutie marks on what seems to be a daily basis, several of their classmates have already had theirs appear. Haven't you always wanted to find out how it happened? Of course you have.

(The colt characters don't really interest me; sorry, colt fans.)

The Rainboom happens as it should, and a few certain fillies earn their cutie marks because of it. Except little Pinkamena Diane Pie, who went inside before she could witness it. Thus, she never left the rock farm.

That meant she wasn't in Ponyville to throw that party that inspired a runaway colt named Cheese Sandwich.

However, the two end up meeting in adulthood, and the broke wanderer Cheese takes a job at the rock farm, and works alongside the grumpy Pinkamena and her family.

My take on an AU, created upon realizing that Cheese Sandwich was indirectly affected by the Sonic Rainboom. And in case you're wondering, the whole eternal night thing goes the same way as the show (except a different mare--whoever you imagine--wields the Element of Laughter).
