Celestia wakes up in human form and at an insane asylum where similarities between the world she is in now and the world of Equestria cause her to wonder if Equestria even exists or if she simply made it up to escape her human life. Does she try to hold on to her memories of her Canterlot life or does she let them go and accept them as nothing more than stories? Who is she going to trust? Who is she anyway?

Life is great. Beautiful skies, lush greenery, an oppressive otherworldly government. It sure is a beautiful world.

Imprisonment and slavery would be a godsend. On the run from hordes of aliens in an enslaved world full of despair and sorrow, Free must save the pony population of the world while saving himself. The stakes keep rising, the opposition keeps growing, and Free has to face it all on his own, even when the odds are infinity to one.

In the aftermath of the battle with his brother in Canterlot, Stormbringer heads back to Ponyville to wrap a few things up and say goodbye to his friends, hopefully before the darkness inside of him rises again. From there he travels to Manehattan to set up shop as a private investigator for hire. It doesn't take long for him to get his first case, tracking down a dangerous criminal. The investigation, though, leads to another revelation, that something big is building in Manehattan. It falls to Storm and his newfound ally to try to solve the mystery in a race to save Manehattan from the machinations of a new, dark, and dangerous enemy!

After the Changeling's failed attack, a full-out crusade is set against them. Many find a way to simply slip away. One is hapless enough to fall into the hooves of those his kind fought against. The changeling is promptly sent to the only pony Celestia could trust with such a thing.
