One month has passed since Queen Chrysalis and the changelings made peace with the ponies of Equestria, but all is far from well. Hatred and suspicion run high on both sides, and several groups of ponies have begun to organize themselves in order to drive the changelings out of Equestria and back into the Badlands. Add in the return of an old enemy looking to break the fragile harmony by any means necessary, and the two races find themselves trapped between a rock and a hard place with no easy way out.

All Mirror wants is for the hatred to end. As a single changeling, she knows that she cannot change anything on her own and must rely on her Queen, swarm, and friends to help change Equestria for the better. But with so many factors working to ruin any chance of harmony and friendship between the two races, is peace truly meant to last?

Twilight gets a distressing letter from Celestia and rushes to Canterlot.
What happened to the princess? What is Luna up to? Why do I sound like the narrator to a bad crime drama?
The first chapter is inspired by a drawing from JohnJoseco. The rest will be my own madness doing its part.

For almost a thousand years, the immortal Nightmare Moon has reigned over Equestria as Empress. To the average pony, Nightmare Moon is an overarching enigma whose rule is absolute and whose wrath is terrible. But to Twilight Sparkle, who as an orphan has never known her parents, the Empress is something else entirely. When the young unicorn is brought under the royal wing as an apprentice, she learns a great deal more about the supposed tyrant than she ever knew. But as Twilight is introduced to life with her new mentor, she is thrust into a world of political intrigue, conspiracies and secrets. Secrets that were never meant to be revealed. As allies and enemies plot against the very peace of the nation, will Twilight fall prey to the perils of her new position? Or will she prosper and find in Nightmare Moon the mother she never had?

Deep in the Everfree Forest, even deeper than the ruins of the royal pony sisters, lay a ruined manor that sparked many legends, ghosts stories and myths. Many of the residences around the Everfree Forest hear the cries of ponies in anguish, grief and despair originating from the manor. The manor had been abandoned for two hundred years and left to ruins by the owners after committing horrendous Ponies that dared to go into the manor never came out to tell the tales that the manor holds and keeps. Now, Twilight, guided by the Mare of White, stands in the hallowed grounds to end the eternal fixation of despair that has taken hold of the manor and put the spirits that reside there to eternal peace. This is the Legend of the Everfree Manor.

This story is based off the Legend of Himuro Mansion, the Fatal Frame series, the Ju-on (Grudge) series and the Bloody Mary urban legend.

Beyond Earth and beyond the Universe within which Earth exists there is a place full of love; the richest mine of love that can be found, as it is seen by those capable of utilizing it...

Within that place, specifically a part of it called the Everfree Forest, awakes one such creature: a Changeling; specifically, a Changeling who had been a human on Earth the day before. How will he survive in a body that literally needs love for nourishment, while in a world that is now wise to the Changelings' tricks and has branded them evil? Better question: Will he be able to change more than his physical appearance?

These questions are not the only thing that will plague him, for the hows and whys of his arrival and transformation are in a hurry to reveal themselves, and Equestria's heart will stop as it waits for its fate to be decided.
