But nothing had yet compared to the ravages of Lord Tirek, who stands virtually unopposed in his quest to absorb all the magic of Equestria, especially now that even Discord, the Lord of Chaos, has betrayed the ponies and decided to help him.

Unopposed, that is, except for a single pegasus filly. Her name is Cozy Glow. And though neither of them realizes it yet...this is going to be the start of a beautiful FIENDship.

Cozy Glow hates working in this stupid coffee shop, but she hates one particular recurring customer just as much. Even if that mare is the one who got her this job in the first place.

Rainbow Dash, best pony, fastest flier in Equestria, all around awesome mare, was called upon to help with the wedding of her friend's big brother. And hey, she never leaves her friends hanging! Of course, when it turned out some kind of bug thing had replaced the bride, Rainbow was more then ready to fight. Heck, even after it seemed all hope was lost, the pegasus refused to give up.

Having settled down in a small coastal town, Tirek, Chrysalis, and Cozy Glow now live together. They might not be family, but they were certainly more than friends. Having been given a chance at redemption, the three decided to leave their past behind.

But sometimes the past has a bad habit of seeking you out.

One sunny day a purple princess comes seeking them out. She brings mementos of the past, but more importantly, memories Cozy Glow wished she'd never have to relive.

After all, he helped save Ponyville, and Celestia herself publicly acknowledged him as her subject, despite the fact that he's a changeling. The ponies of Ponyville should welcome him with open arms. It turns out, however, that the fact that some of them don't is going to be the least of his problems.

Unfortunately for Sweetcake, Pinkie, and the entire hive, his hive is not the only hive out there, and the others don't approve of allying with ponies. Caught between betraying his friends and the welfare of his subjects, any choice may spell disaster.
